ASGC Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Selection is based upon essay, letters of recommendation, resume, standardized test scores, and transcript.

 

Laura E. Settle Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 2

 

Joseph W. McKinley Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: January 15

Recent graduate of Valley or Northwest high schools in Scioto County.

 

Harriet Irsay Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: July 1

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student who is a United States citizen or permanent resident (preferably) of Polish heritage.

 

Schuman Merit Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and must demonstrate financial need.

 

Dr. Joseph C. Basile II Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a West Virginia resident enrolled at any college or university in West Virginia and studying in the field of education. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Elizabeth H. Thomas Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a West Virginia resident who is a graduating senior of Logan High School planning to attend any college or university in West Virginia. Applicant must be in a teaching program. Minimum 2.5 GPA and composite ACT score of 20 required.

 

Harriet Engstrom Nelson Fund Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a West Virginia resident enrolled full time and demonstrate academic ability. Preference given to upperclass students pursuing a degree in education. Letter of recommendation, personal essay, transcripts, and IRS form 1040 required.

 

Mary E. (Nalbach) Huseby Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a resident of the Cedar Grove area in West Virginia who plans to major in education. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Transfer Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: December 31

Applicants need a 3.0 GPA at community college w/AA degree, preference to Phi Theta Kappa Scholars. Award is to be used for Coll of Notre Dame of Maryland-sponsored study abroad programs.

 

Doctoral Fellowship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 15

Work of applicant must show an effort of scholarly applications to difficult problems of practice and significant scholarly accomplishments. Applicant must demonstrate how the fellowship will directly impact his or her progress. Applicants must provide a personal statement and current vita.

James V. Day Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a United States citizen who is a resident of the state of Maine and is enrolled in or attending an accredited college or vocational technical school. Letters of recommendation that exhibit their good character are required to be submitted. Applicant must have a parent or grandparent who is a current member of an American Legion Post in the State of Maine, and be able to exhibit financial needs.

 

Daniel E. Lambert Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a United States citizen who is a resident of the State of Maine, and is enrolled in, or attending an accredited college or vocational technical school. Applicant must have a parent or grandparent who are veterans, and be able to exhibit financial needs. Applicant must also be of good character (demonstrated through letters of recommendation), and also have demonstrated by his or her past behavior, that he/she believes in the American way of life.

 

NALE Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 15 (fall); September 15 (spring); March 15 (summer)

Applicant must be at least one-quarter Native American and be an enrolled member of a U. S. tribe that is federally recognized, or terminated, with high GPA and test scores, and be enrolled in an accredited college or university.

 

Concurrent Enrollment Waiver

Applicant must be concurrently enrolled in more than one Texas public college or university.

 

Audrey L. Wright Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a resident of Kent County Mich., for at least three years, pursuing a degree in Foreign Language or Education, have a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.

 

Rotary Leadership for Educational Diversity Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: October 30

Applicant must attend CU-Denver full-time, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and demonstrate financial need.

William Tasse Alexander Scholarship

Carrol C. Hall Memorial Scholarship

Award: $525, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be an active member of Tau Kappa Epsilon who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and is pursuing an undergraduate degree in education or science. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Francis J. Flynn Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,050, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be an active member of Tau Kappa Epsilon pursuing an undergraduate degree in education or mathematics. Minimum 2.75 GPA required. Preference given to members of the Theta-Sigma chapter.

 

Archaeology, Research and Education Internships

Award: -, Deadline: February 1

Interns work with the professional research staff to conduct field work at ancestral Pueblo archaeological sites and conduct laboratory analysis of the artifacts collected. Education interns work with the professional education and research staff to teach archaeology, including field and laboratory work to students who are enrolled in Crow Canyon programs.

 

Freshman in Teacher Education Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 15

Selection is based upon academic merit, commitment to teaching, potential to become an effective teacher, and demonstrated leadership. Essay, two letters of reference, and transcripts required.

 

Peter H. Spear Memorial Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: June 15

Selection is based upon academic merit. Award is in Canadian dollars.

 

Allen and Helen Mitchell Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a graduate of Brewster High School, NY with a minimum grade average of "B" (85).

 

Elizabeth Glenadine Gibb Mathematics Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: n/a

Applicant must be an incoming freshman who is majoring in mathematics/teacher education with the intent of pursuing a career in teaching mathematics. One of the following is required: have a composite ACT score of 27; be in the upper 10 percent of high school graduating class with composite ACT score of 22; or have a minimum 3.2 GPA for all course work at an accredited college or university. Current undergraduate students must be majoring in mathematics with teaching of mathematics as a career goal. Minimum 3.0 GPA required of current students.

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is African-American, Alaskan, Asian-American, Hispanic, Pacific Islander, or Native American. Preference is given to residents of the New York City area.

 

Hilla Rebay Graduate Internship

Hilla Rebay International Fellowship

Award is for research, travel, and scholarship related to Hilla Rebay and her associates. Applicant must be accepted for a summer internship.
