Chancellor's Merit Award

Applicant must be able to fall into one of these categories: (a) a non-Indiana resident, ranking in the top quarter of their class, with a minimum 1650 composite SAT (composite ACT score of 24 with writing), or or have earned a SAT score of 1800 (27 ACT with writing); (b) a transfer student from another regionally accredited college or university with a minimum of 24 credits and a cumulative GPA of 3.0; (c) a transfer student from another regionally accredited college or university having completed 24 credit hours or more at more than one college with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above at each institution attended. Transfer students with fewer than 24 credits completed will be evaluated on their high school record and test scores. International students who are beginning at the university must have scored a minimum 600 on the TOEFL if the test was paper-based or a minimum of 87 if the TOEFL was Internet-based. International students must ask the Office of International Education to recommend them for scholarship consideration.

 

Opportunity Grant

Incentive Scholarship

Applicant must be a student who resides outside of Indiana and have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.

 

Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange

Award: -, Deadline: January 5

Applicant must be a United States citizen, national, or permanent resident who is between the ages of 15 and 18, and has a minimum 3.0 GPA. Selection is based upon merit, cultural interest, and commitment to strengthening future U.S.-German relations.

 

Out of State Reduced Tuition Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA or rank in the top fifth of his/her class, and must have a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1100 (composite ACT score of 24). Transfer applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Regional Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a full-time, matriculated freshmen who is a graduate from a high school outside of New York State.

 

Cook Scholarship

Award: $7,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must reside in a state other than New York and must graduate from a private or parochial school. Applicant must have a minimum "85" average and a minimum combined SAT I score of 1000.

 

Western Region Grant

Award: $3,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a resident of Louisiana, Minnesota, or any state west of the Mississippi River.

 

Bounder Scholarship

Applicant must llive west of the Mississippi River or in the Deep South.

President's Out of State Scholar Award

Award: $3,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be an incoming non-New York state resident admitted as an undergraduate freshman in Group I or Group II of the SUNY admissions matrix. Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student, maintain residence outside of New York state, and live in a university residence hall. The Director of Admissions will choose the award recipients based on their admissions application, SAT scores, and high school grades.

 

President's International Scholar Award

Award: $3,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student, maintain a residence outside of New York and international student status, maintain normal academic progress, live in a university residence hall, and maintain a 3.0 GPA. The Director of International Education will choose the award recipients based on their admissions application and transcript.

 

Akron Advantage Blue Award

Applicant must be an out-of-state student. Minimum 3.0 GPA and minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1000 (composite ACT score of 21) required.

 

Akron Advantage Gold Award

Award: $9,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be an out-of-state resident who is a first-time, full-time freshman or transfer student who meets two of the following criteria: minimum 3.5 GPA (3.25 transfer GPA); rank in top 10% of secondary school class; or minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1200 (composite ACT score of 27).

 

Out-of-State Resident Grant

Applicant must demonstrate residency in a state other than Illinois and live on campus during the academic year; parents may not be residents of Illinois.

Western Undergraduate Exchange Scholarship

Foundation Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time student (12 credit hours), a U.S. citizen, and a Yuma or La Paz County resident. One page essay on "Why you want the scholarship and your future goals" is also required.

 

Erick Inman Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a Yuma-area graduate, full-time student, and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. Selection is based upon extracurricular activity involvement, other than sports. Essay is required.

 

Sylvia Potts Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a Native American student in degree/certificate related courses, who lives in either Yuma or La Paz counties, and has a 2.0 or higher GPA.

 

Sunblet Communications Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a full-time student with a 2.5 GPA in performance-based and academic-based majors. Preference given to Broadcasting or related majors. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and have graduated from a high school in Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, or Wyoming.

 

Tanner Companies Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a Yuma County high school graduate with a 3.0 ("B") or higher average.

 

Louis W. Towle and Mary S. Towle Memorial Scholarship

Award: $250, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a returning student who has been absent from school for five or more years. Applicant must have and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher and be able to show financial need, but not necessarily qualify for federal student aid. Consideration will be given first to a student from Benson, then to a resident of Cochise County. Essay is required.

 

Manny Rivera Memorial Scholarship

Award: $300, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a graduate of a Cochise County high school or equivalent program and be enrolled full-time at Cochise College. Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and be planning on attending a four-year institution. Academic achievement and financial aid must be demonstrated.

 

Success Scholarship

Applicant must not be a resident of Michigan. Minimum 3.2 GPA required.

 

Academic Community Enrichment Scholarship (ACE)

Award: $7,500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be an out-of-state United States resident who satisfies at least two of the following criteria: ranks at least in the top 10% of their high school class; is a member of the National Honor Society; or has a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better. Applicants who do not meet that criteria, but possess significant leadership and involvement may also be considered.

 

Non-Resident Transfer Leadership Scholarship

Applicant must be a transfer student with a minimum 3.0 GPA who is not a resident of Utah, and has outstanding leadership abilities, activities, and achievements.
