Scholarships in Saskatchewan

Applicant must have a minimum 3.2 GPA, minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1200, and be an incoming freshman student or transfer student.

 

S.M. Blair Family Foundation Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a Native Canadian (status Indian, non-status Indian, Metis, Inuit) who attended high school in a Western Canadian province, Yukon, the Northwest Territory, or Nunavut and has a minimum 3.2 GPA. Selection is based upon academic merit and extracurricular activities involving contribution to the native community.

 

SGI Canada Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: July 15

Applicant must be a Saskatchewan resident concentrating in risk management and insurance. Selection is based upon academic merit.

 

President's International Scholar Award

Award: $3,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student, maintain a residence outside of New York and international student status, maintain normal academic progress, live in a university residence hall, and maintain a 3.0 GPA. The Director of International Education will choose the award recipients based on their admissions application and transcript.

 

General Scholarships

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 29

Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who attended high-school in a province other than Ontario and has a minimum 2.5 high school GPA. Applicant must be enrolled in a full-time, four-year undergraduate program.

 

Allan Blakeney Entrance Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a Saskatchewan resident with academic achievement. Application requires a description of contributions and aptitude for activities related to society's institutions of government and public service and a letter of recommendation.

 

Frances Elizabeth Murray Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a Saskatchewan resident. Selection is based on academic achievement.

 

Alumni Association Entrance Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be either a Saskatchewan student or the child of an alumni who is living outside of Saskatchewan and has graduated or is graduating from a Canadian high school. Eight scholarships are reserved for Saskatchewan students and six for children of alumni. Selection is based on academic achievement.

 

Allan Blakeney Entrance Scholarship

Award: $3,300, Deadline: March 17

Applicant must be Saskatchewan resident who is a full-time student beginning their first year in a direct entry program at the university. Selection is based on academic achievement and demonstrated interest in government and public service.

 

Evraz Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 17

Applicant must be a Saskatchewan student with a minimum 80% average who is entering the Faculty of Engineering, Business Administration, or Science. Selection based on academic standing, leadership skills, financial need, and an interest in working in the steel industry.

 

Elmer Shaw Entrance Scholarship

Award: $2,250, Deadline: March 17

Applicant must be a graduate of a Saskatchewan high school and have a minimum 3.5 GPA.

 

Dwain Lingenfelter Centennial Scholarship

Award: $1,300, Deadline: March 17

Applicant must be a Saskatchewan student with a minimum average of 80% who is studying in the area of Economics, Political Science, Sociology or Business Administration and will demonstrate leadership qualities and community involvement.
