Archer Daniels Midland Company FFA Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicants must be current FFA members and high school seniors or college students planning to enroll or currently enrolled full-time in an agriculture program. They must have at least a 3.0 GPA and a history of leadership and community service. Students only need to complete the online application one time to be considered for all FFA-administered scholarships. The application requires information about the student's activities and a 1,000-word essay. Awards may be used for books, supplies, tuition, fees and room and board.

 

Kent Nutrition Group Inc. FFA Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 8

Applicants must be working toward a degree in one of the following fields: animal science, animal nutrition, dairy science, poultry science, equine/equestrian science, agriculture, agricultural science, agricultural business management, economics, finance or marketing and sales. Applicants must attend college in and be residents of one of the following states: Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia or West Virginia. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Animal Health International FFA Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 8

Applicants must be under 23 years of age and current members of FFA. Applicants must be residents of one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington or Wyoming. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Janelle Downing Memorial 4-H Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicants must be Missouri residents who are present or former members of 4-H and who are rising undergraduate freshmen who are planning to major in veterinary medicine, pre-veterinary medicine or animal science. They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a four-point scale. Preference will be given to those who will be enrolling at the University of Missouri College of Agriculture as freshmen. Selection is based on 4-H achievements, stated career goals and financial need.

 

Timmins, Kroll & Jacobsen Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicants must be Iowa residents, be incoming freshmen at an Iowa college or university and have experience in 4-H and/or FFA livestock projects. They must have plans to major in animal science, agriculture or a related subject. Preference will be given to applicants from Polk County. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Iowa Pork Foundation Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: April 1

Applicants must be Iowa residents who are enrolled at or who plan to enroll at a two-year or four-year postsecondary institution located in Iowa. They must be majoring in or have plans to major in an agriculture-related undergraduate program that focuses on swine production. They must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Pre-Veterinary and General Animal Husbandry Education Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 31

Applicants must be currently attending an accredited college and studying general animal husbandry or pre-veterinary studies. In addition to the online application form, students will need to submit a 1,000-word-essay highlighting goals for after graduation and how their degree will apply to their future plans.
