Applicant must be a United States citizen who is attending a two- or four-year college or university with an interest in education, arts, environment, math, or science. Applicant must have lost the life of at least one parent to cancer before the age of 22. Financial need and involvement in the community, church, school, or other non-curricular activity are required.

ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Math and Science Scholarship

Applicant must be an underrepresented African-American or Hispanic high school senior who is attending a high school in a Council of Great City Schools district and plans to enroll in a four-year college or university. Minimum 3.0 GPA and plans to pursue a career in an area of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics required.

 

The Mikkelson Foundation Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: April 11

Applicant must be graduating from a Colorado high school and pursuing a degree in engineering, math, or science at an accredited college/university. Must have minimum 3.7 GPA, 1800 SAT score, and 28 ACT score. Transcript, three recommendations, and personal essay required.

 

USA to Australia Fellowship

Award: $40,000, Deadline: October 15

Applicant must be a graduate student or above who will be attending an Australian educational institution majoring in engineering, medicine, sustainability, or technology. Three essays, three letters of reference, a proposed budget, transcripts, and letter of acceptance to an Australian University required. Must be a U.S. citizen and full-time student.

 

Science Student Grant

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and fourth year undergraduate student with a disability who has been accepted into a graduate school pursuing a degree in one of the following fields: mathematics, science, medicine, engineering, or computer science. Essay, proof of citizenship, transcripts, and two letters of recommendation required.

 

Making the Future Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who is enrolling or currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a career in a STEM field. Minimum 2.5 GPA and project required.

 

Aida White Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a graduating student from St. Petersburg High School who is a U.S. citizen majoring in science, mathematics, or one of the engineering sciences. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

GAHCC Foundation Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: August 10

Applicant must be a Hispanic high school graduate seeking a degree in a STEM (Science, technology, engineering, or math) field.

 

North Dakota Petroleum Council Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student majoring in geology, earth science, geological engineering, petroleum engineering, energy economics and finance, process plant technology, energy management, petroleum production, mechanical maintenance, water and wastewater, or instrumentation and control at a North Dakota college/university, or have work/internship experience in the oil and gas industry. Minimum 3.0 GPA, college transcripts, letter of reference, and one-page essay required.

 

Dr. Arthur A. Kezian DDS Science Scholarship

Applicant must be a female student obtaining a college degree in science, technology, engineering, or math. Essay between 300 and 500 words required.

 

Astronaut Scholarship

Applicants must be sophomore, junior or senior undergraduate or graduate students in natural or applied science, engineering or mathematics at Brown University, Colorado School of Mines, Clemson University, Florida Institute of Technology, Georgia Institute of Technology, Harvey Mudd College, Johns Hopkins University, Louisiana State University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Miami University, North Carolina State University, North Dakota State University, Ohio State, Pennsylvania State University, Purdue University, Syracuse University, Texas A&M University, Tufts University, University of Arizona, University of Central Florida, University of Chicago, University of Colorado, University of Kansas, University of Kentucky, University of Minnesota, University of Michigan, University of Oklahoma, University of Rochester, University of Southern California, University of Texas at Austin, University of Virginia, University of Washington, University of Wisconsin or Washington University and must be nominated by faculty or staff. Applicants may not directly apply for the scholarship. Students must have excellent grades and performed research or lab work in their field.

 

Payzer Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 28

Applicants must be accepted or enrolled in an accredited college or university with an emphasis on technical information and must intend to pursue a career in engineering, mathematics or the physical or biological sciences. Applicants must also be involved in school and community activities as well as aviation and be members of EAA.

 

Minnesota Academic Excellence Scholarship

Applicants must be Minnesota residents who have been admitted to a full-time program in an approved Minnesota college or university. Applicants must have demonstrated achievement in one of the following subjects: English or creative writing, fine arts, foreign language, math, science or social science.

 

Thomas H. Dunning, Sr., Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must have a GPA of at least 2.75 and be at least sophomores. Students must also be undergraduates seeking a degree in engineering, computer science or any of the pure sciences. Preference is first given to Tekes at Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Society of American Military Engineers, Albuquerque Post Scholarship

Applicants must be high school seniors and residents of New Mexico. They must plan to enroll in a math, science or engineering undergraduate degree program. Selection is based on academic achievement, leadership experiences at school, involvement in the community and financial need.

 

Thaddeus Colson and Isabelle Saalwaechter Fitzpatrick Memorial Scholarship

Award: $4,500, Deadline: March 15

Applicants must be female Kentucky residents who are attending a public college or university in Kentucky. They must be full-time undergraduate students who are rising sophomores, juniors or seniors and be majoring in a subject that is related to the environment (such as agriculture, horticulture, environmental engineering, biology or environmental studies). They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Gorgas Scholarship Competition

Award: $10,000, Deadline: January 6

Applicants must be Alabama residents who are rising undergraduate freshman and have completed a scientific research project and an accompanying report of no more than 20 pages. They must have completed all college entrance requirements by October 1 of the year of application submission. Selection is based on the quality of the scientific research paper that is submitted as part of the application.
