Applicant must be pursuing a career in the performing arts.

 

Vermont Alliance for Arts Education (VAAE) Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from Vermont who will pursue a degree in the arts at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need, academic achievement and significant skill and talent in an artistic medium must be demonstrated.

 

VSAC Board of Directors Scholarship (Joan Goodrich)

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Bennington or Rutland County in Vermont who will pursue a degree in the visual or performing arts at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Senator James M. Jeffords Endowed Scholarship to Honor Marion Hausman Jeffords

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a graduating senior who will pursue a degree in the arts at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Terry Albee Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont residing in one of the following towns: Charleston, Coventry, Derby, Holland, Jay, Lowell, Morgan, Newport City, Newport Town, Troy, or Westfield. Applicant must pursue a degree in communications or the performing arts at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Essay, recommendation letter and financial need required.

 

John Nagy Memorial Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student pursuing education in the areas of fine arts or performing arts. Preference will be given to graduates from Lorain County high schools. FAFSA and Student Aid Report are required. Award amount is determined by committee.

 

Performing Arts of the Medford Rogue Rotary Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Jackson County high school who will major in a performing art. FAFSA required.

 

Herb and Betty Curry Scholarship

Award: $980, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Posey County high school pursuing post-secondary education in music (vocal or instrumental), music education, or the performing arts. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required.

 

Performing Arts Scholarship

Award: $3,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a new entering student (fall term entry only) who has had experience in high school or community theatre productions. Demonstration of ability in stage movement, acting, and singing is required.

 

Jerry Juhl Fund for the Arts

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 13

Applicant must be a Mendocino, Fort Bragg, or Point Area high school senior who plans to attend a four-year college or university and study the performing arts, including music, dance, theatre, film, and puppetry. Selection based upon potential for career success in the performing arts and their prior academic performance. Minimum 3.0 GPA is desired, but not required.

 

George E. Judd Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Lee County, FL high school who will pursue a degree in the fine or performing arts.

 

Edward A. and Shirley B. Livi Scholarship

Award: $8,000, Deadline: March 30

Applicant must be a resident of Franklin, Hampden, or Hampshire County, MA who will pursue education in the fine or performing arts.

 

Arts Council of Greater Grand Rapids Minority Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a student of color (African American, Asian, Hispanic, Native American, Pacific Islander) who is a Kent County, MI, resident. Applicant must be attending a non-profit public or private college/university and majoring in fine arts (including all visual and performing art forms). Financial need and minimum 2.5 GPA are required.

 

Mark P. Tiner Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 16

Applicant must be an Orange County high school senior from a public high school in the Santa Ana Unified School District, Anaheim Union High School, Placentia-Yorba Linda School District, or the Fullerton Joint Union High School District who plans to attend a four year accredited college and has completed 300 or more community service hours. Five awards giving based on these five categories: visual arts, performing arts, athletics, community service, and financial need. Minimum 3.75 GPA, two letters of recommendation, and current transcript required.

 

Promise of Creativity Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 13

Applicant must be a high school senior who has attended a THINK Together program for a minimum of two years in high school. Must be planning to pursue a career in the performing arts industry. Current transcript, resume, essay, and short answer questions required.
