Vermont Alliance for Arts Education (VAAE) Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from Vermont who will pursue a degree in the arts at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need, academic achievement and significant skill and talent in an artistic medium must be demonstrated.

 

Senator James M. Jeffords Endowed Scholarship to Honor Marion Hausman Jeffords

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a graduating senior who will pursue a degree in the arts at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Vivian Klemz Memorial Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: January 11

Applicant must be a resident of Ventura County, pursuing a major in visual, performing, or creative arts, and demonstrate financial need. Preference given to female applicants.

 

Presidential Performing Arts Scholarship

Award: $15,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must submit essay and two letters of recommendation from professionals in the field. Music, dance, theatre (including technical) applicants must audition. Art applicants must submit portfolio.

 

Lucien Wulsin Scholarship in the Performing Arts

Award: $3,800, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate student in the B.F.A. program or returning graduate in the M.F.A. program. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Gregory Hines Performing Arts Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time, undergraduate or graduate performing arts student with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

HSF/McNamara Family Creative Arts Project Grant

Award: $20,000, Deadline: February 28

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic heritage. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university in the United Stats, Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands majoring in the arts, including but not limited to media, film, performing arts, communications, or writing. Program will begin as of fall 2009.

 

Technical Training Fund

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduate of an Oregon high school who demonstrates extraordinary technical or artistic potential in the areas of craftsmanship, manual skills, art, music, culinary arts, or other related areas. FAFSA required.

 

Marjorie Stonehill- English, Journalism & Creative Arts Scholarship

Award: $750, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Boone County high school who will major in creative arts, english, or journalism and is in the top 30% of their class. Essay and minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Judith Butler Van Valer Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a current or past graduate of Greenwood Community High School or a high school in Marion or Hamilton County who plans to enroll full-time at an accredited college or university and major in the arts or education.

 

Eric Scott Langdon and Diana Monzeglio Memorial Scholarship Fund for Artists

Award: $1,500, Deadline: April 16

Applicant must be a graduating senior from San Dieguito Academy who will be studying the arts, music or dance at a college or university. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Leslie B. Durst Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduate of the Vancouver School for Arts and Academics who will pursue an education in the arts.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, a high-school senior or college level student, have a 3.0 minimum GPA or higher and be pursuing a degree in the arts or design field. Applicants must convey the beauty of humanity either through written essay, image or 90-second video.

 

Bill McKnight Legacy Scholarship

Award: $3,250, Deadline: January 13

Applicants must be residents of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington and be high school seniors or college or graduate students (community college, four-year public or private college or university, certificate program, vocational/technical/trade programs, law school, medical/dental/veterinary school or graduate education). Students must be members of the LGBTQ and allied community and display leadership either within the LGBTQ community or within their field of study and demonstrate financial need. Students with additional barriers to education as well as those who are economically, racially, socially, geographically or politically disenfranchised will be given consideration as well. Preference given to applicants from Kitsap County/Bainbridge Island, Washington.
