Lee A. Lyman Memorial Music Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont pursuing a degree in a music-related field at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Midwest Student Exchange Program

Award: -, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be a resident of Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Wisconsin, or North Dakota. Minimum 3.4 GPA and combined SAT Reasoning score of 1090 (composite ACT score of 25) required. Applicant must be majoring in one of the majors listed on sponsor's application page.

 

Gretchen E. Van Roy Music Education Scholarship

Award: $1,150, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a college junior majoring in music education at a college or university with a Music Education Department.

 

Myrtle Mehan/Hazel Morgan Music Education Scholarship

Award: $475, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a college sophomore majoring in music education at a college or university which has a Music Education Department.

 

Farrold Stephens Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be enrolling as a college junior or above in a vocal performance or music education program. FAFSA required.

 

Opal Greenlee Memorial Fund Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a resident of Blackford County who will pursue an education in the field of music or music education.

 

William J. Schergens Music Scholarship

Award: $1,020, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior or graduate of a Perry County high school who is pursuing a college degree in music or a degree in education with some emphasis on music. Financial need, good academic standing and minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required.

 

Herb and Betty Curry Scholarship

Award: $980, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Posey County high school pursuing post-secondary education in music (vocal or instrumental), music education, or the performing arts. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required.

 

Margaret Corbin Wathen Scholarship

Award: $620, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Posey County high school planning to pursue a major in music or music education.

 

Conservatory Talent Award

Award: $16,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be pursuing a degree within the Shenandoah Conservatory. Selection is based upon application for admission, audition, and needs of the conservatory. Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA and a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 900 (composite ACT score of 19).

 

Marie M. Borden Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Johnson County high school who will pursue a four-year full-time program in music or music education. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

John T. and Joann C. Wills Music Educator's Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Preston County, WV high school graduate who is regularly enrolled as an undergraduate student in a college or university, pursuing a course of study listed in order of consideration: music education, instrumental, or choral/vocal.

 

Angela Svendsen Memorial Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 30

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from Clark County who will pursue a degree in music education or performance at an accredited college or university.

 

Aspiring Music Teacher Scholarship

Award: $1,200, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from Vermont who will pursue a degree in music education or piano pedagogy at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement must be demonstrated.

 

John Slonaker Music Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 25

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Troy High School who will major in music education at an accredited post-secondary institution.

 

Music Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: August 1

Applicant must be an incoming freshman student who is majoring in music or music education. Written recommendation required from the applicant's high school music teacher or private music instructor. Minimum 1.8 GPA ('C' average) required.

 

Music, Art, Theatre Arts Performance Scholarships

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be majoring in a field of music, art, or theatre arts and continue with that major for which the scholarship is awarded. Audition (music, theatre) or portfolio review (art) required.

 

Dr. Robert Hawkins Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 5

Applicant must be working toward a degree in instrumental (band) music education. Essay, current transcript, photo, and three letters of recommendation required.

 

Rainbow City Band Scholarship?

Award: $3,250, Deadline: January 13

Applicants must be?residents of?Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington and be high school seniors or college or graduate students (community college, four-year public or private college or university, certificate program, vocational/technical/trade programs, law school, medical/dental/veterinary school or graduate education). Students must be members of the?LGBTQ and allied community and display leadership either within the LGBTQ community or within their field of study and demonstrate financial need. Students with additional barriers to education as well as those who are?economically, racially, socially, geographically or politically disenfranchised will be given consideration as well.??Students should be pursuing music or music education degrees.

 

Friends of Oheka Otto Kahn Music Award

Award: $10,000, Deadline: January 1

Applicant must be a full-time incoming freshman who is the recipient of the Otto Kahn Award in Music and who demonstrates exceptional musical talent. Student should have a declared major in music or music education.
