Applicant must be a graduating senior from Santa Cruz High School. Financial need, high academic achievement, and history of service activities or volunteer work are required to be demonstrated.

 

Ernest V. Cowell Scholarship

Award: $1,300, Deadline: March 5

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a high school in the Santa Cruz City School District who plans to attend a University of California campus in the fall following graduation. Financial need is required.

 

Emmett and Elsie Geiser Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 5

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Watsonville, Aptos, or Pajaro Valley High Schools who has lettered in at least one sport. Minimum 3.0 GPA in college preparatory classes and one letter of recommendation from the school's scholarship committee, athletic director or athletic coach stating the applicant's athletic and academic achievements are required.

Applicant must be a graduate of or a current graduating senior from a high school in Santa Cruz County who is a or will be a full-time student at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational school in the fall following graduation. Financial need is required.

 

John L. Turner Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Watsonville High School who plans to enroll at a two- or four-year college, university, or vocational school in the fall following graduation. Financial need and minimum 2.0 GPA are required.

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a high school in the Santa Cruz City School district. Financial need, minimum 3.0 GPA, and history of services activities/volunteer work must be demonstrated.

Applicant must be a student of African-American descent who is from Sonoma County.

Applicant must be a current or former resident of Sonoma County who plans to or is currently majoring in cartooning and/or animation (graphic design may also qualify if branching out to cartooning). Preference will be given to students with some professional experience.

Applicant must be a graduate of Santa Rosa High School who will be attending a school within the University of California system.

 

Diane Dawson Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior at a high school in the greater Sacramento or Denver area who has a parent/legal guardian with terminal cancer or other terminal illness, or who have lost a parent to a terminal disease during their tenure in high school. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

Applicant must be attending American River College or Cosumnes River College. Minimum 3.0 GPA and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Nadine Dimick Nursing Scholarship

Applicant must be a student enrolled in the nursing program at Sacramento City College. Minimum 3.0 GPA and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Benny Goodman Foundation Scholarship

Applicant must be a current student attending any University of California school campus who is majoring in music with an emphasis in jazz or classical (preference will be given to the clarinet musician). Applicant must have a genuine passion and talent for music and plan to pursue a career in music. Minimum 3.0 GPA in music class is required.

 

San Joaquin Human Resource Association Scholarship Fund

Award: $500, Deadline: April 2

Applicant must be a resident within San Joaquin County who is a senior in high school planning to attend a two- or four-year university in the fall and major in human resources, business administration, management, psychology, or education. Minimum 3.3 GPA, commitment to service in community, and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Mark McCollum 'Ride On' Scholarship

Applicant must be pursuing an engineering or construction degree at California State University - Sacramento who is enrolled in at least 12 academic units per quarter/semester during the year of the scholarship award. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Raymond Nelson Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be an undergraduate student who is pursuing a business-related degree with a focus in management, administration, managerial economics, or entrepreneurial studies.
