Bryan Potts Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 16

Applicant must be a graduating senior at Rio Americano High school who has been accepted to an accredited educational institution in a field of study leading to a baccalaureate degree. Minimum 2.5 GPA and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Morton and Susan Rumberg Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 30

Applicant must be serving or have served honorably in the United States Armed Forces who is pursuing a degree or teaching credential with an intended career in an educational environment at an accredited college, community college, or university in El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Yolo, or Yuba counties. Minimum 2.75 GPA and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Tim Sardelich Memorial Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: April 23

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a high school in Sacaremento, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sutter, Yolo, or Yuba counties who is pursuing an architecture or civil engineering degree at an accredited college or university. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Financial need must be demonstrated; extracurricular and community activities will also be considered.

 

Carroylin and Robert Threlkel Scholarship Fund

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 16

Applicant must be a female senior student from Rio Vista High School, Delta High School, River Delta High School, or Mokelumne High School who is pursuing a business-related degree at an accredited college or university. Minimum 2.5 GPA and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Crain Educational Grants Program

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a current graduating senior or graduate of a public or private high school in San Mateo County or Santa Clara County. Minimum 3.3 GPA, financial hardship, and community involvement must be demonstrated.

 

Curry Award for Girls and Young Women

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a young woman who is a current graduating senior, high school graduate, or have completed a G.E.D. Applicant must be a current resident of San Mateo County. Financial hardship must be demonstrated.

 

Hazel Reed Baumeister Scholarship Program

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a current graduating senior or graduate of a public or private high school in San Mateo County or Santa Clara County. Minimum 3.3 GPA required. Financial hardship and community involvement must be demonstrated.

 

Ruppert Educational Grant Program

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a current graduating senior or graduate of a public or private high school in San Mateo County or Santa Clara County who is a United States citizen or legal resident. Financial hardship, community involvement, and academic promise must be demonstrated. Minimum 3.3 GPA required.

 

Marie A. Calderilla Scholarship

Award: $20,000, Deadline: March 7

Applicant must be a San Mateo or Santa Clara County graduating high school senior or current San Mateo or Santa Clara resident planning to attend a college in the San Mateo County Community College District. Applicant must be a female student who is pursuing their first undergraduate degree or certificate. Financial hardship must be demonstrated.

 

Dr. James L. Hutchinson and Evelyn Ribbs Hutchinson Medical School Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 7

Applicant must be a college senior who has been accepted to medical school, or who is currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited medical school program. Applicant must have graduated from a high school in San Mateo County or Santa Clara County or have lived in that same area during high school.

 

Harold Johnson Law Enforcement Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 7

Applicant must have declared a program of study in law enforcement (or criminal justice, administration of justice or police science) and have plans to pursue a career in police work, corrections or other criminal justice fields. Applicant must be a resident of San Mateo or Santa Clara counties. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Harriett and Lawrence Wheeler Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 30

Applicant must be a graduate of Del Norte High School in Crescent City, CA.

 

Out-of-State Grant

Award: $3,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be an entering freshman student who is not a resident of South Carolina.

Applicant must be an incoming freshman who is not a resident of Arkansas. Minimum 3.0 GPA required; 24 transfer hours and minimum 3.25 GPA required of transfer students.

Applicant must be an incoming freshman student who is not a resident of Delaware. Selection based upon above average academic achievement.

 

Out of State Access Grant

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student who is not a resident of Florida.

 

Emily M. Hewitt Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be a student or graduate student enrolled full-time in an accredited California post-secondary educational institution whose educational goals coincide with Emily Hewitt's interest in communicating and interpreting nature's wonder. Applicants pursuing degrees in environmental protection, forestry, wildlife and fisheries, biology, parks and recreation, park management, environmental law and public policy, environmental art, and California history are encouraged to apply.

Applicant must be a graduate or undergraduate enrolled at California State University Dominguez HIlls pursuing a degree in a public service field.

Applicant must be an out-of-state resident with a minimum 3.75 GPA and minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1400 (composite ACT score of 32).
