TAPPI Technical Division Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be pursuing an education in the paper and related industries.

 

MGAA Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 15 (post-marked date)

Applicant must be a Maine resident and have been accepted to a post-secondary graphic arts program. Scholarship application, high school transcript, and two candidate evaluation forms must be submitted.

 

Edgar H. Snider Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.

 

Pennies for Art Scholarship

Award: $800, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must attend a Massachusetts high school and must submit a letter of endorsement from the president of the sponsoring GFWC of Massachusetts club in the community of legal residence, a recommendation from high school art teacher, a letter stating goals, and portfolio of three examples of original work. SASE required.

 

Studio Art, Graphic Design, or Art Education Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 1

Portfolio and personal interview with an art faculty member are required.

 

Pitman Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.

 

Presidential Scholarship

Award: $8,000, Deadline: March 15

Selection is based upon academic merit and talent. Scholarship cannot be combined with other merit scholarships offered by the university.

 

Jessie E. and Jay D. Rudolph Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate promise and commitment to graphic arts.

 

Gravure Education Foundation Scholarship

Selection is based upon academic merit and financial need.

 

Miltec Corporation Graphic Arts Annual Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate financial need and have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.

 

AWC Scholarship

Applicant must be a Washington resident attending a Washington four-year school. Selection is based upon financial need and academic achievement.

 

T.R. Braithwaite Memorial Scholarship

Illustrators of the Future Contest

Award: $500, Deadline: December 31; March 31; June 30; September 30

Applicant must be an amateur illustrator who has not had published or been payed, in media distributed nationally to the general public, more than three black-and-white story illustrations or more than one process-color painting. Entry should consist of three science fiction or fantasy illustrations done by entrant in a black-and-white medium, each representing a different theme and none having been previously published.

Polaire Weissman Fund

Applicant needs to present a typed application, full resume, statement (not to exceed 1,000 words), and three letters of recommendation.

 

Sherman Fairchild Foundation Conservation Fellowship

Award: $22,500, Deadline: December 2

Applicant must be a qualified candidate from the United States and abroad who have already reached an advanced level of training or experience.

 

J.D. Edsal Advertising Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: April 29

Applicant must be a Rhode Island resident who is a college undergraduate (sophomore or above) studying advertising (public relations, marketing, graphic design, film or broadcast production) with the expectation of pursuing a career in one more of those fields.

 

Art Institutes and Americans for the Arts Poster Design Competition

Typed designer's statement in Microsoft Word explaining the design concept and why the student wishes to enter the graphic design field required.

 

Helena Rubinstein Foundation Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: August 12 (fall); March 16 (spring)

Applicant must be a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has completed at least 15 credits. Current FAFSA must be filed, personal statement, and two letters of recommendation must be submitted.

 

Chih-Chun Chang Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be an international student with a minimum 3.0 GPA who is involved in community activity and has financial need.

 

Dan Fantauzzi Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate graphic design major who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and is able to demonstrate financial need.

 

Hill-Fulp Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of North Carolina majoring in graphic design with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Integrated Project Solutions Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate majoring in animation, broadcast design and motion graphics, interactive design and game development, sound design, or visual effects. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

James W. Bostwick III Scholarship

Applicant must major in graphic design, have a minimum 3.5 GPA, and demonstrate financial need.

 

Jim Alley Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate majoring in graphic design and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.
