Golden State Minority Foundation Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must attend school in Southern California, be African-American, Latino, Native American, or other underrepresented ethnic minority, and be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident. Applicant must be enrolled full-time, be employed no more than 25 hours per week, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Office of Critical Infrastructure Protection and Emergency Preparedness Fellowship in Honour of Stuart Nesbitt White

Award: $19,250, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. Preference given to applicants who hold a master's degree and would normally be pursuing doctoral studies. Applicants majoring in business administration or health administration must have completed master's degree.

 

Huebner Foundation Fellowship in Insurance, Economics, and Risk Management

Applicant must have high GRE or GMAT scores, outstanding grades, and a commitment to college teaching.

 

Atlanta Association of Insurance Women Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: July 1

Applicant must be a woman who plans to make insurance her career. Selection is based upon academics and need.

 

Robert S. Spencer Memorial Foundation Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must plan to pursue a career in risk management.

 

Independent Insurance Brokers' Association of Alberta Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: June 15

Applicant must have completed secondary schooling in Alberta, demonstrate interest in the general insurance industry, and have a minimum 3.2 GPA. Selection is based upon academic merit and participation in extracurricular activities. Award is in Canadian dollars.

 

Anthony Thibaudeau Undergraduate Bursary

Award: $3,000, Deadline: June 15

Applicant must have a minimum 2.6 GPA. Selection is based upon academic merit and financial need. Award is in Canadian dollars.

 

SGI Canada Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: July 15

Applicant must be a Saskatchewan resident concentrating in risk management and insurance. Selection is based upon academic merit.

 

Baker Insurance Chair Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must have a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA. Preference is given to a freshman or sophomore who is an active member in a professional insurance organization. Applicant may be a risk management/insurance minor.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

Oregon Association of Certified Fraud Examiners Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be enrolling as a college senior or above at a four-year public or nonprofit college or university in Oregon pursuing a degree in accounting, business, criminal justice, finance, law, law enforcement, or risk management. Minimum 3.25 GPA required.

 

AfterCollege Finance and Insurance Careers Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 31; June 30; September 30; December 31

Applicant must be a current student working toward a bachelor's, master's or doctorate degree in: accounting, actuarial sciences, banking, economics, finance, financial management, insurance, risk management, or related majors. Minimum 3.0 GPA and good standing in program required. Applicant must click the blue Apply button on the AfterCollege application page and complete their AfterCollege profile which will be the criteria (with specific emphasis on the personal statement) used to determine the recipient of the award.

 

MassMutual Scholars Program

Award: $5,000, Deadline: May 2

Applicant must be a legal U.S. Citizen who will be entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year at an accredited college/university. Minimum 3.0 GPA is required. Interest in pursuing a career in insurance and financial services industry preferred.
