Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is a current USA Water Ski member. Applicant must be a sophomore belonging to a 2 to 4 year accredited college. Selection is based upon academic qualifications, leadership, extracurricular involvement, recommendations, and financial need. Applicant must submit a 500 word essay.

Applicant must be a resident of Arkansas who is the dependent child or spouse (who has not remarried) of a person who was killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty as law enforcement officers in the State of Arkansas or certain Highway and Transportation Department employees. Preference is given to SBE members and applicants who are employed at least part-time in broadcast engineering. Applicant must be named a National Merit Finalist or Semi-Finalist by the National Merit Corporation. A copy of the award letter from the corporation will act as an application for this scholarship (it must be received by March 1). A committee will review each student's application for admission, writing sample and transcript. Any National Merit/National Achievement finalist who does not receive one of the full-tuition scholarships may receive a Loyola-sponsored $2,000 scholarship.

Applicant must be a resident of Washington County in Vermont who will be the first generation to attend college, or faces significant barriers that limit access to education, and will attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need and community service must be demonstrated.

Applicant must be a current high school senior, college freshman, sophomore, or junior studying in the United States who demonstrates an active commitment to fighting AIDS and taking on roles of public service and leadership (e.g. providing peer-based prevention and education; engaging in grass-roots activism; raising public awareness; and/or delivering practical, emotional, or treatment support to people living with HIV/AIDS). Applicant must plan to continue to find ways to make a difference in the epidemic through their careers or through public service opportunities after their education is complete. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.
