Awarded to American Indian/Alaskan Native students seeking a degree in engineering or scientific fields related to water resources or environmentally related fields.

Applicant must be a full-time graduate student who is pursuing courses of study and research leading to careers in air quality, waste management, environmental management/policy/law, and sustainability.

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen with an interest in water resources/hydraulics. Selection is based upon academic performance.

 

American Ground Water Trust-AMTROL Inc. Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident who plans to attend a college or university west of the Mississippi River and be planning for a career in a ground water-related field. Applicant must have completed a science/environmental project which directly involved ground water resources or had an out-of-school work experience relating to the environment and natural resources. Minimum 3.0 GPA, essay, description of ground water project or practical environmental work experience, and two letters of recommendation are required.

 

American Ground Water Trust-Claude Laval Corporation Ben Everson Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must have at least one parent employed in the ground water industry, plan to pursue a career in a ground water-related field, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be a U.S. citizen or legal resident, and have either completed a science/environmental project which directly involved ground water resources or had an out-of-school work experience relating to the environment and natural resources. Applicant must submit essay, description of ground water project or practical environmental work experience, verification of parent's employment in the ground water industry, and two letters of recommendation.

 

Walter B. Sinnott Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be enrolled full time at an accredited U.S. college or university and demonstrate academic achievement, involvement in extracurricular activities, and financial need.

 

Horton Hydrology Research Grant

Applicant must be a graduate student studying hydrology, water resources, or a closely-related field.

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

IWC Master of Integrated Water Management Scholarship

Award: $79,311, Deadline: August 1 (international students); October 1 (domestic students)

Applicant must apply for the MIWM program through The University of Queensland (UQ) and receive an unconditional offer of admission in the program. Applicant must meet the following minimum eligibility requirements: A completed undergraduate degree in a related field of study from an internationally-recognized institution; at least two years of professional experience (paid work or volunteering experience) relevant to the program and following completion of an undergraduate degree. Applicants with relevant professional experience have a higher chance of securing a scholarship. International students must also demonstrate English language proficiency.

 

Nebraska Children's Groundwater Festival Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Nebraska high school who will pursue post-secondary education in a water resources related field.
