Len Assante Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student who is entering a field of study that serves, supports, or promotes the groundwater industry.

 

The SAPA Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 30

Applicant must be a high school senior who is planning to attend a full-time undergraduate program at an accredited four-year college/university with a major related to life sciences. Applicant must have a minimum 3.3 GPA, a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 2000, and be in the top tenth (or top quarter) of their class. Essay, two letters of recommendation, list of all awards received, list of Advanced Placement or Honors courses with grades, and transcripts are required to be submitted.

 

Sansum Medical Research Institute Student Internship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have completed junior year of undergraduate studies (graduate students also qualify). Must be interested in a career in medicine or the biological sciences. Personal statement, transcripts, and letters of recommendation are required. Award is a 10-week summer medical research internship.

 

Sertoma Club of Greenwood, Dr. Robert L. Hamill Memorial Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Johnson County high school who will pursue a full-time baccalaureate course of study at an accredited college or university in the field of biochemistry, chemistry, or microbiology.

 

NYWEA Major Environmental Career Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: February 17

Applicants must be residents of the state of New York and must be high school seniors who plan to enroll full-time in an environment-related bachelor's degree program no later than the fall following graduation. The programs could include but are not limited to environmental engineering, civil engineering with an environmental minor, chemical engineering with an environmental minor, hydrogeology with an environmental emphasis or biology or microbiology with an environmental emphasis. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Microbiology Departmental Scholarship

Applicants must be a currently enrolled student at Alabama State University pursuing studies in microbiology.

 

Creative Biolabs

Award: $1,000, Deadline: August 15

Applicants must be enrolled as a freshman, undergraduate, graduate or doctoral student at an accredited college or university. Students must be pursuing a major in a science related field. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Students must submit, application, transcripts and essay.
