SDE Fellowship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a woman who holds a degree from a recognized institution of higher learning, and is able to show documented evidence of outstanding ability and promise in research.

 

Eloise Gerry Fellowship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a woman who holds a degree from a recognized institution of higher learning and is able to show documented evidence of outstanding ability and promise in research.

 

GSCAA Scholars Competition

Award: $3,500, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must have completed at least the first year of a collegiate turfgrass management program and be planning a career as a golf course superintendent. Selection is based upon academic excellence, extracurricular activities, and recommendations from college advisors and golf course superintendents or other employers. International students attending a US institution may also apply.

 

The SAPA Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 30

Applicant must be a high school senior who is planning to attend a full-time undergraduate program at an accredited four-year college/university with a major related to life sciences. Applicant must have a minimum 3.3 GPA, a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 2000, and be in the top tenth (or top quarter) of their class. Essay, two letters of recommendation, list of all awards received, list of Advanced Placement or Honors courses with grades, and transcripts are required to be submitted.

 

Vessa Notchev Fellowship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a woman and an SDE/GWIS member, who holds a degree from a recognized institution of higher learning, and is able to show documented evidence of outstanding ability and promise in research.

 

Allen H. and Nydia Meyers Foundation Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a student residing in a Lenawee County School District who is graduating from a Lenawee County High School. Appliacnt must be planning to attend a school of higher education and major in aeronautics or the sciences/allied fields.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

RISE Professional - Research Internships in Science & Engineering

Applicant must be enrolled in specific major in master's or PhD program in North America. German language requirements might be applied.

 

Sertoma Club of Greenwood, Dr. Robert L. Hamill Memorial Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Johnson County high school who will pursue a full-time baccalaureate course of study at an accredited college or university in the field of biochemistry, chemistry, or microbiology.

 

Odebrecht Award for Sustainable Development

Award: $65,000, Deadline: May 31

Applicant must be an undergraduate student in an engineering, architecture, building/construction management, or chemistry field. Applicant must submit a paper that outlines contributions to sustainability.

 

Frank Weigel Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,200, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Wisconsin Dells High School who will pursue post-secondary education at a two- or four-year accredited institution in a science-related field.

 

David R. Jones IV Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 31

Applicant must have completed their sophomore year at an accredited college or university and be majoring in a field that is related to asphalt paving technology, such as civil engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry or other related majors. Preference will be given to applicants with experience and interest in the field of asphalt technology.

 

Eric D. Dunning Scholarship

Award: $400, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be an active member of Tau Kappa Epsilon pursuing a degree in computer science, engineering, or science. Minimum 2.75 GPA required.

 

Robert E. Dougherty Educational Foundation Scholarship Award

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 28

Applicants must be nominated for this award by a Robert E. Dougherty Educational Foundation member company or member institution. They must be North American citizens and be graduate or undergraduate students who are studying industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, forest products, wood science or wood technology. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Kathryn D. Sullivan Earth and Marine Science Fellowship

Award: $12,000, Deadline: January 23

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and be either full-time graduate students enrolled in an accredited consortium member institution or a successful applicant for full time admission to a Masters or Doctorate program in an accredited consortium member institution. Selection is based on recommendation letters, academic merit, faculty sponsorship and stated academic goals and interests in science, technology and engineering.

 

Graduate Research Fellowship Program

Award: $44,000, Deadline: November 4

Applicants must be full-time students who have completed no more than 12 months of graduate study and be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals or permanent residents. The fields of study are interdisciplinary, computer and information science and engineering, mathematical sciences, geosciences, psychology, social sciences, life sciences, chemistry, physics and astronomy and engineering.
