Provost Scholarship

Award: $20,000, Deadline: November 15 (Early Action admissions deadline)

Applicant must be an out-of-state resident with a minimum 3.75 GPA and minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1400 (composite ACT score of 32).

 

Academic Council Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: November 15 (Early Action admissions deadline)

Applicant must be an out-of-state student with a minimum 3.0 GPA and combined SAT Reasoning score of 1200 (composite ACT score of 27).

 

Academic Achievement Scholarship

Award: $7,500, Deadline: November 15 (Early Action admissions deadline)

Applicant must be an out-of-state resident with a minimum 2.0 GPA and minimum SAT Reasoning score of 1150 (composite ACT score of 25).

Applicant must be a resident of Minnesota, North Dakota, Iowa, or Wisconsin who has been accepted to an accredited college, university, or technical school majoring in broadcasting, television, or electronic media. Applicant must be an incoming freshman from Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Kansas, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Missouri, Iowa, Oklahoma, North Dakota, or South Dakota. Minimum 3.0 GPA and minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1650 (composite ACT score of 23) required.

 

North Dakota Indian Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: July 15

Applicant must be an enrolled member of a federally recognized Indian tribe and a resident of North Dakota who has been accepted for admission at an institution of higher learning or state vocational program within North Dakota. Full-time enrollment and minimum 2.0 GPA required.

Applicants must advocate peace, reside in or attend school in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota or Wisconsin and attend an interview in Minneapolis and the fall awards ceremony.

 

Midwest Student Exchange Program

Applicants must currently live in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota or Wisconsin and wish to attend a participating school in one of these states outside their own. Other eligibility requirements vary depending on the state and school. Awards are tuition reduction for out-of-state schools in the participating region.

 

North Dakota Career and Technical Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: June 2

Applicants must plan to enroll full-time at an accredited North Dakota postsecondary institution and maintain a minimum 2.75 college GPA. The scholarship may not exceed $6,000 nor extend beyond six years. Students must complete one unit of algebra II, two units of an approved plan of study of career and technical education coursework and three additional units (two of which must be in the area of career and technical education). Applicants must also obtain a minimum grade of C or .5 unit per class, have a minimum cumulative GPA of a B and receive a minimum ACT score of 24 or a score of at least five on each of three WorkKeys assessments.

 

North Dakota Academic Scholarship

Award: $750, Deadline: June 2

Applicants must plan to enroll full-time at an accredited North Dakota postsecondary institution and maintain a minimum 2.75 college GPA. The scholarship may not exceed $6,000 nor extend beyond six years. Students must complete one unit of algebra II, one unit of math for which algebra II is a prerequisite, two units of the same foreign or Native American language, one unit of fine arts or career and technical education and one additional unit of foreign or Native American language, fine arts or career and technical education. Applicants must also earn a C minimum or a half unit in each class, have a minimum cumulative 2.75 GPA, have a minimum score of 24 on the ACT and complete one unit of an advanced placement course and exam or a dual-credit course.

 

Lee Magnon Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate at an accredited two- or four-year college or university. Applicants must be studying engineering and/or science at their chosen school. Applicants must have permanent residence in the NACE Central Area which includes the following states: Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

 

Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance Company of Iowa

Applicants must be working toward degrees in one of the following areas of agriculture: agronomy, crop science, agricultural communications, education, journalism, extension, public relations, business management, economics, finance, sales, marketing, plant pathology, plant breeding, plant genetics, soil science, soil conservation, water conservation or public service and administration. BNSF Railway Company FFA Scholarship

Applicants must be current FFA members and high school seniors or college students planning to enroll or currently enrolled full-time. Students must be pursuing a four-year degree in one of the following agricultural fields: business management, economics, sales and marketing or finance. They must be residents of California, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota or Texas. Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Students only need to complete the online application one time to be considered for all FFA-administered scholarships. The application requires information about the student's activities and a 1,000-word essay. Awards may be used for books, supplies, tuition, fees and room and board.

 

MetLife Foundation FFA Scholarship

Applicants must be working toward four-year degrees in specific areas of agriculture including public service and administration, agribusiness management, range/soil science, public communications, plant or animal breeding and genetics, education, plant pathology, journalism, technology, extension, mechanization, public relations, finance, economics, sales, marketing or engineering. Applicants must be dependents of a North Dakota veteran who was killed in action, died or became disabled because of a service-connected injury, was a prisoner of war or was declared missing in action. Students must enroll in a North Dakota public institution of higher learning and earn their degree or certificate within 45 months or ten semesters.

 

Retraining Assistance Scholarships

Award: $10,000, Deadline: Varies

Applicants must be workers who have been injured on the job, have completed the WSI rehabilitation process and would benefit from the funds due to exceptional circumstances or the spouse and children of catastrophically injured workers. Applicants must reapply each year and maintain a satisfactory GPA in order to continue to receive funds.

 

Hattie Tedrow Memorial Fund Scholarship

Applicants must be high school seniors, North Dakota residents and U.S. citizens. They must be direct descendants of veterans with honorable service in the U.S. military.

 

Transfer Times

Award: $6,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicants must be current students enrolled in a two-year institution in the Transfer Times distribution area of Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota or Wisconsin. Students must be transferring to a four-year institution that advertises in the Transfer Times.
