Jay Milner Scholarship

Plano Texas Cobalt Mortgage Dollars for Scholars Award

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a member of a Plano Boys & Girls Club or YMCA/YWCA under the age of 25 or be the son/daughter of a past or current client of a Plano Branch Loan Officer. Selection based on merit and financial need, along with a combination of factors such as community service, leadership, and unusual circumstances.

Applicant must be a current high school or college student under the age of 24 who is a resident of Texas with a minimum 3.0 GPA. A 500-word essay responding to the following is required: 'Bounce Energy considers itself to be more than just an electric company. Going beyond just competitive electricity rates, we also offer customer rewards, community charity support opportunities, and other convenient products and services. How do you consider yourself to be more than just a student?'

 

Provost Scholarship

Award: $20,000, Deadline: November 15 (Early Action admissions deadline)

Applicant must be an out-of-state resident with a minimum 3.75 GPA and minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1400 (composite ACT score of 32).

 

Academic Council Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: November 15 (Early Action admissions deadline)

Applicant must be an out-of-state student with a minimum 3.0 GPA and combined SAT Reasoning score of 1200 (composite ACT score of 27).

 

Academic Achievement Scholarship

Award: $7,500, Deadline: November 15 (Early Action admissions deadline)

Applicant must be an out-of-state resident with a minimum 2.0 GPA and minimum SAT Reasoning score of 1150 (composite ACT score of 25).

 

YWAF Young Leaders Scholarship

Applicant must be a female high school senior from Austin, TX, and its surrounding area who has demonstrated superior leadership skills and plans to attend college or trade school Selection based upon leadership roles, financial need, academic achievement, and commitment to community during their high school career.

 

Don't Mess with Texas Scholarship

Applicant must be a high school senior who is a resident of Texas and has plans to pursue a two- or four-year degree at an accredited school in Texas. Award recognizes the achievements students who have taken leadership roles to prevent litter in their schools and/or communities.

 

A.D. Osherman Scholarship Fund

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 24

Applicant must be a resident of Texas who is a current high school senior or college freshman, sophomore, or junior who has financial need and a history of community service. Minimum 2.75 GPA required.

 

John Buller Scholarship

Applicant must be a Texas resident with cystic fibrosis who is an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited two- or four-year college or university in Texas.

 

Nancy D. Palm Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be or plan to be undergraduate or graduate student at a Texas college or university who is specializing in elementary education. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

TELACU Scholarship

Applicant must be a first generation college student from a low-income family in California, Texas, Illinois, or New York. California applicants must be a permanent resident of an underserved community within the counties of Los Angeles, Orange or San Bernardino, such as East Los Angeles, Boyle Heights, Baldwin Park, Bell Gardens, Commerce, Huntington Park, City of Los Angeles, Montebello, Ontario, Pico Rivera, Pomona, South Gate, Santa Ana, and San Bernardino. Texas applicants must be a permanent resident of San Antonio or Austin. Illinois applicants must be a permanent resident of Greater Chicagoland Area. New York applicants must be a permanent resident of the state of New York. Minimum 2.5 GPA and financial need based on FAFSA required.

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who has completed 90 credit hours and is pursuing a pre-law program at an accredited university or college in the state of Texas. Minimum 2.75 GPA, one letter of recommendation, resume of community service activities, and full-time enrollment status required. Preference given to female students of hispanic descent.
