Applicants must be working toward four-year degrees in specific areas of agriculture including public service and administration, agribusiness management, range/soil science, public communications, plant or animal breeding and genetics, education, plant pathology, journalism, technology, extension, mechanization, public relations, finance, economics, sales, marketing or engineering. Applicants must also be residents of one of the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin or Wyoming. Fastline Publications FFA Scholarship

Applicants may be from Iowa or Texas and working toward two-year degrees in agricultural business management, farm and ranch management, livestock management or agricultural sales and marketing. Applicants may also be from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, New York, North Dakota, South Dakota, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina or South Carolina and working toward four-year degrees in agricultural business management, farm and ranch management, livestock management or agricultural sales and marketing. Kikkoman Foods Inc. FFA Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 8

Applicants must be majoring in one of the following fields: food science, food technology, food service management, dietetics, agricultural business management or some non-agricultural fields. Students must be residents of or planning to attend a college in Wisconsin. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

Mahindra USA Women in Ag Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 1

Applicants must be pursuing a degree in the field of agriculture and reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia or West Virginia. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required as well as participation in community service, financial need and leadership ability. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

Edward L. Simeth Scholarships

Award: $500, Deadline: January 15; June 15

Applicants must be Wisconsin residents, and they must have a high school diploma or GED. They must have completed at least one semester at an accredited technical school located in Wisconsin and be enrolled in a machine tool operations or tool and die program. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

E.H. Marth Food and Environmental Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: July 1

Applicants must be Wisconsin residents who are enrolled at or have been accepted into a postsecondary institution that is either located in the state of Wisconsin or that has a reciprocal enrollment agreement with Wisconsin. They must be or plan to be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate academic program that is related to food science, environmental sanitation or dairy science. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

John D. and Virginia Riesch Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: February 1

Applicants must be U.S. citizens. They must be full-time students enrolled in a medical school or nursing degree program at an accredited Wisconsin college or university. Rising undergraduate freshmen, undergraduate medical students and nursing students enrolled in a less than two-year program are ineligible. Preference will be given to Wisconsin residents and to applicants who are planning to practice in Wisconsin. Selection is based on academic merit, personal qualities, recommendations and financial need.

Sister Mary Petronia Van Straten and Ethel A. Neijahr Scholarships

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicants must be Wisconsin legal residents, be enrolled in a teacher education program and have completed or be in the process of completing a course in mathematics teaching methods. They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

Wisconsin Veterans Education Reimbursement Grants

Award: -, Deadline: No later than 60 days after the start of classes

Applicants must be Wisconsin residents and must have served in the U.S. armed forces in active duty for two consecutive years, completed their initial active service obligations, accumulated at least 90 days of active duty during wartime or have received or become qualified to receive an expeditionary or service medal. Students must have received an honorable discharge and be working toward a degree or certificate. A minimum 2.0 GPA is required. Funds are awarded upon course completion.

NACA Northern Plains Regional Student Leadership Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: January 15

Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students taking at least six credits per semester and be enrolled in or have previously earned a degree from a college or university in Wisconsin or the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Applicants must also have demonstrated leadership and service to their campus community.

Transfer Times

Award: $6,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicants must be current students enrolled in a two-year institution in the Transfer Times distribution area of Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota or Wisconsin. Students must be transferring to a four-year institution that advertises in the Transfer Times.
