Retraining Grant

Award: $3,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a Wisconsin resident and a veteran with two years of active-duty service, 90 days of wartime service, or other active-duty service in conflicts or peacekeeping missions. Applicant must have been involuntarily laid off or discharged (not due to willful misconduct) within one year of application. Applicant must have been employed for at least six consecutive months with the same employer or in the same or similar occupations. At least one day of that employment must have been within that year. Applicant must be enrolled in a structured on-the-job training program or in a technical education program that will be completed within two years of application and can reasonably be expected to lead to gainful employment. Course work toward a college degree does not qualify. Spouses and dependent children of deceased Wisconsin veterans may also be eligible.

 

Francis Walton Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must have at least 5 WPM certification and be attending or planning to attend a regionally accredited school. Preference is given to residents of Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin.

 

Blue & Gold Level 1 Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be an incoming freshman who is a not a resident of West Virginia.

 

Generations Non-Resident Tuition Waiver

Applicant must be a non-resident child or grandchild of an Oklahoma U graduate.

 

SSU Development Foundation Diversity Scholarship

Applicant cannot be a resident of Ohio or have attended high school in Ohio. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and preference is given to minorities.

 

Non-Resident Transfer Student Merit Scholarship

Applicant must be a transfer student with a minimum 3.8 GPA who is not a resident of Utah. Applicant must have completed a two0year college associate degree program or its equivalent in a state contiguous to Utah.

 

Native American Student Scholarship

Applicant must be a Native American as defined by the American Indian Advocacy Group on the Boulder campus, must be enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences, and must be a resident of Colorado, Minnesota, or Wisconsin.

 

President's Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.25 GPA, minimum composite ACT score of 23 or combined SAT Reasoning score of 1070, and be an out-of-state resident.

 

General Nonresident Scholarship

Applicant must be a nonresident, demonstrate high academic achievement, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be a first degree-seeking student enrolled full time (minimum 12 credit hours per semester). Incoming freshman applicant must rank in top 3% of secondary school class. Sophomore, junior, and senior applicants must be current or previous recipients of award. Recipients must complete a minimum of 40 hours of Arizona community service off campus at a nonprofit agency during year of award.

 

Talent Incentive Program Grant

Applicant must be an educationally disadvantaged student from Wisconsin who is attending a Wisconsin college or university.

 

Marie Shea Memorial Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a nonresident of Arizona and a full-time student and demonstrate financial need.

 

Oneida Higher Education Grant

Award: $20,000, Deadline: April 15 (fall); October 1 (spring); May 1 (summer)

Applicant must be an enrolled member of the Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin.

 

Alumni Legacy Scholarship

Applicant must be the child of a parent who has a degree from U of Arkansas, Fayetteville and is a current member of the Arkansas Alumni Association. Applicant must be a nonresident of Arkansas and have a minimum 3.0 GPA and a composite ACT score of 24-36 (combined SAT I score of 1110-1600). Applicant must submit Arkansas Alumni Legacy Data Form and apply for and be accepted for admission.

 

Legacy Tuition Reduction Grant

Global Tiger Scholarship

Applicant must be a non-resident International undergraduate student, with high GPA and ACT scores, 575 or above for TOEFL score. Selection is based upon leadership potentials, two letters of recommendation from a teacher of school master requested.

 

National Scholars Award

Applicant must be a non-resident or international student with a minimum admissions index score of 129.

 

Doris and Elmer H. Schmitz, Sr. Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be an active member of Tau Kappa Epsilon. Minimum 2.5 GPA required. Preference given to members from the state of Wisconsin.

Chapter 4 - Lawrence A. Wacker Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be seeking a bachelor's degree in manufacturing, mechanical or industrial engineering in a four-year program at an accredited, public or private college or university within the state of Wisconsin. First preference will be given to scholarship applicants who are Chapter 4 members, their spouse, and/or their children or grandchildren. Second preference will be given to scholarship applicants who reside within the following Wisconsin counties: Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington and Waukesha. Third preference will be given to scholarship applicants who reside within the state of Wisconsin. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required.

 

Honors College National Scholarship

Honors College Tuition Grant

University Scholars Award

Applicant must be a domestic non-resident student who is not invited to the Honors College. Minimum 3.5 GPA and minimum composite ACT test score of 24 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1100) required.

 

Chancellor's Merit Award

Applicant must be able to fall into one of these categories: (a) a non-Indiana resident, ranking in the top quarter of their class, with a minimum 1650 composite SAT (composite ACT score of 24 with writing), or or have earned a SAT score of 1800 (27 ACT with writing); (b) a transfer student from another regionally accredited college or university with a minimum of 24 credits and a cumulative GPA of 3.0; (c) a transfer student from another regionally accredited college or university having completed 24 credit hours or more at more than one college with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above at each institution attended. Transfer students with fewer than 24 credits completed will be evaluated on their high school record and test scores. International students who are beginning at the university must have scored a minimum 600 on the TOEFL if the test was paper-based or a minimum of 87 if the TOEFL was Internet-based. International students must ask the Office of International Education to recommend them for scholarship consideration.
