National Scholars Program

Award: $13,900, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must not be a resident of Michigan or Ohio.

 

Mark Twain Nonresident Scholarship

Award: $5,500, Deadline: August 15

Applicant must rank in top 50% of graduating high school class, have a minimum composite ACT score of 27 (combined SAT I score of 1210), and be a resident of any state except Missouri.

 

Out-of-State Collegiate Scholar

Award: $3,500, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be an out-of-state first-time freshman student with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and a minimum composite ACT score between 28 and 29 (combined SAT Reasoning score between 1250-1320).

 

Out-of-State Presidential Scholar

Award: -, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be an out-of-state first-time freshman student with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and minimum composite ACT score between 32 and 36 (combined SAT Reasoning score between 1400 and 1600).

 

Out-of-State Capstone Scholar

Award: $1,500, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be an out-of-state first-time freshman student with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and a minimum composite ACT score of 27 (combined SAT Reasoning score between 1210 and 1240).

 

Out-of-State Grant

Award: $3,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and be a resident of any state except Kansas. FAFSA is required.

 

Edmond A. Metzger Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must have at least a novice class amateur radio license, be a member of ARRL, and be attending school in the ARRL Central Division (Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin). Preference is given to residents of Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin who are majoring in electrical engineering.

 

Six Meter Club of Chicago Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must have an amateur radio license. Preference is given to residents of Illinois studying in the state. Award may be granted to an Indiana or Wisconsin applicant if not qualified Illinois applicant applies.

 

Chicago FM Club Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or within three months of citizenship and have at least a technician class amateur radio license. Preference is given to residents of Illinois, Indiana, or Wisconsin (FCC Ninth Call District).

 

Out-of-State Tuition Assistance Scholarship

Award: $6,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must show academic ability and not be a resident of Idaho.

 

McNair Scholars Award

Award: $12,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be from outside South Carolina. Selection is based upon academic achievement, leadership, and character.

 

Mt. Garfield Non-Resident Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and a resident of any state other than Colorado, and have a minimum 3.2 GPA.

 

Bauer Continuing Education Scholarship

Award: $800, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be employed in a library (both library and support staff) or Wisconsin information agency. Award is for a continuing education course or a conference.

 

Vida Stanton Award

Award: $1,400, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be a Wisconsin resident who has been admitted to the UW-Milwaukee SOIS (School of Information Studies) as a part time or full-time student to pursue a Master's degree in the library media or youth services program.

 

Out-of-State Fee Stipend

Award: $2,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA or rank in the top quarter of class, have a minimum composite ACT score of 24, and may not be a resident of Missouri.

 

Continue the Tradition

Applicant must be the child or grandchild of an alumni and may not be a resident of Missouri. Entering freshman applicants must have a minimum 3.5 GPA or rank in the top quarter of class and have a minimum composite ACT score of 24. Transfer applicants must have completed at least 24 credit hours and have a minimum 3.25 GPA.

 

Out-of-State Fee Waiver for the Performing Arts

Applicant must have outstanding performance ability in art, forensics, music, theatre, or dance.

 

Academic Excellence Scholarship

Award: $2,250, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Wisconsin resident enrolled full-time at a U of Wisconsin campus, Wisconsin Tech Coll or independent Wisconsin institution. Applicant must have the highest GPA in his or her class.

 

Handicapped Student Grant

Award: $1,800, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Wisconsin resident with a severe or profound hearing or visual impairment and must attend a Wisconsin school or an eligible out-of-state school. Selection is based upon financial need. Applicant must submit FAFSA and grant application.

 

Minority Retention Grant

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Wisconsin resident and African-American, American Indian, Hispanic, or Southeast Asian from Laos, Cambodia, or Vietnam admitted to the U.S. after December 31, 1975, and must be attending a Wisconsin independent institution or a Wisconsin Technical College. Selection is based upon financial need.

 

Minority Teacher Loan

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Wisconsin resident attending a Wisconsin college or university, be enrolled in a program leading to teacher licensure, and be African-American, American Indian, Hispanic, or Southeast Asian from Laos, Cambodia, or Vietnam admitted to the U.S. after December 31, 1975. Applicant must submit FAFSA and be nominated by the Financial Aid department. Recipient must agree to teach in a Wisconsin school district participating in the inter-district pupil transfer (Chapter 220) program.

 

Talent Incentive Program Grant

Award: $1,800, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Wisconsin resident attending a Wisconsin college or university at least part time. Selection is based upon financial need. FAFSA and nomination by the Student Financial Aid Department or WEOP required.

 

Wisconsin Tuition Grant

Award: $2,300, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Wisconsin resident attending an independent Wisconsin college or university. Selection is based upon financial need. Applicant must submit FAFSA.

 

Wisconsin Higher Education Grant

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Wisconsin resident enrolled at least part-time. Selection is based upon financial need; FAFSA is required.

Fred Schleiter Scholarship

Elmer H. Sr. and Doris Schmitz Memorial Scholarship

Award: $650, Deadline: May 18

Applicant must be a Wisconsin resident and a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon who is a full-time student, has demonstrated leadership in his chapter, on campus, or in the community, and has a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. If no qualified candidate from Wisconsin applies, the award may be granted to any other qualified applicant.
