E. Lanier (Lanny) Finch Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: December 31

Applicants must be Georgia residents and full-time students at an accredited college or university. Students must be rising juniors or seniors pursuing degrees in some aspect of the broadcasting industry. Selection is based on scholastic records, extracurricular activities, community involvement and leadership potential.

 

Middle Class Scholarship Program for California State University, Bakersfield

Award: $4,500, Deadline: March 2

The Middle Class Scholarship (MCS) program provides funding to help middle-class students attend the University of California or California State University. Applicants must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application by March 2 of each year. Family income and household assets must be under $150,000 per year to qualify for this scholarship. The California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) and school financial aid office will determine the actual amount each student receives. New, transfer and returning undergraduate students at the University of California or California State University with annual family income and household assets of up to $150,000 may also be eligible. The average award is $4,500.

 

City Vision College Access Missouri Financial Assistance Program

Award: $2,850, Deadline: April 1

This need based program assists high school students with college costs. To be eligible applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and a Missouri resident; must have filed the FAFSA by April 1; must be a current undergraduate student enrolled full time and have an EFC of $12,000 or less.

 

Harry Barfield KBA Scholarship Program

Award: $2,500, Deadline: April 24

Applicants must be attending a college or university in Kentucky and major or plan to major in broadcasting or telecommunications. Preference is given to second semester sophomores, and funds are awarded in the junior year and renewable for the senior year. Applicants should have a minimum 3.0 GPA, although some consideration will be given to those with lower who have exceptional credentials otherwise.

Applicants must be a Kansas Livestock Show exhibitor and a current high school senior with plans to enroll in a post-secondary educational program or currently enrolled in post-secondary school. Students should also not have previously received a KJLS scholarship and not be a family member of a member of the Scholarship Selection Committee.

 

Conception Seminary College Access Missouri Financial Assistance Program

Award: $2,850, Deadline: April 1

This need based program assists high school students with college costs. To be eligible applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and a Missouri resident; must have filed the FAFSA by April 1; must be a current undergraduate student enrolled full time and have an EFC of $12,000 or less.

 

Jean Lee/Jeff Marvin Collegiate Scholarships

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicants must be attending an Indiana college or university and be upcoming juniors or seniors who are majoring in health education, physical education, recreation, dance education or allied areas.

KAB Broadcast Scholarship Program

Applicants must be Kansas residents and be attending a Kansas college or university the fall semester after application. Those attending four-year institutions must be entering the junior or senior year, and those attending two-year institutions must be entering their sophomore year. Students must enroll in a broadcast or related curriculum for at least 12 hours. A GPA of 2.5 or greater is required.

Applicants must be Vermont residents who are college juniors, seniors or graduate students and must major horticulture, landscape, design, conservation, forestry, agronomy, plant pathology or biology with a special interest in plants, ecology and allied subjects. They must be sponsored by a member of the Advertising Club of Connecticut. Selection is based on GPA (20 percent), essay (30 percent), work experience and activities (30 percent) and SAT/ACT scores (20 percent).

Still Photographer Scholarship

Applicants must have completed one year in a full-time four-year college or university with courses in photojournalism, provide a portfolio and demonstrate financial need. Applicants can apply to as many NPPA scholarships as desired, but only one award will be granted per winner.
