Cosmetology Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: October 1

Applicants must be legal residents United States and the District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older. Students should be currently enrolled (or have been accepted to enroll) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher learning (e.g. trade school, college or university) studying cosmetology. Applicants must submit a brief video of your best looks, skills or beauty tips.

 

Hitched Wedding Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: November 30

Applicant must be a high school senior, undergraduate or graduate student in Canada, the U.S. or the United Kingdom. Special consideration is given to students majoring in English/creative writing, journalism, fashion or design. Applicant must write a 600- to 800-word blog post on a wedding topic.

 

PAVE Student Design Competition

Award: -, Deadline: November 3

Applicants must be college undergraduate students in the area of retail design and planning, visual merchandising, interior design and branding programs. Students will create a design project based on the given information relating to Kroger stores. Application and project details are available online.

 

Pre-Veterinary and General Animal Husbandry Education Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 31

Applicants must be currently attending an accredited college and studying general animal husbandry or pre-veterinary studies. In addition to the online application form, students will need to submit a 1,000-word-essay highlighting goals for after graduation and how their degree will apply to their future plans.

 

Supporting STEM Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: July 30

Applicants must be a high-school senior or college level student, enrolled full-time and maintaining a 3.0 or higher GPA. Students must be studying a STEM related field. Selection is based on passion for the STEM field of study, strong moral character and leadership ability. Applications are available online.

 

ASF Translation Awards

Award: $2,500, Deadline: June 15

Applicants must submit a translation of poetry, fiction, drama or literary prose written in a Nordic language by a Scandinavian author born after 1800.

 

Dodson Law Scholarship for Brain Injury Victims & Their Caregivers

Award: $1,500, Deadline: November 30

Applicant must have suffered a brain injury or have a close family member who has had a brain injury. Applicants must have a minimum 2.75 GPA and be currently enrolled full- or part-time at a four year college. The application includes a 500-word essay on how your brain injury has changed your life, or how having a loved one with a brain injury has impacted your family.

 

The Triangle Pest Control Scholarship Fund

Award: $500, Deadline: September 30

Applicants must be high school seniors or currently enrolled college students who are enrolled, or planning to enroll, in a business or business-related degree program at an accredited college or university in North or South Carolina.

 

$5,000 Nitro College Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: December 31

Applicants must be legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia and be enrolled in an accredited college or university for the upcoming school year. Students will complete three short-answer questions as well as fulfill a social component using a social media platform. In addition, for every friend referred and that fills out an application, applicants will receive an entry to win a $1,000 scholarship. Three deadlines per year: March, July, and December.

 

Mother and Baby Care Center Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 31

Applicants must be attending an institution of higher learning. Students will need to submit an essay of at least 1,000 words on the topic: "How can social media improve breastfeeding rates in the U.S.?" Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.

 

Virtuous Prom Peace Scholarship

Award: $250, Deadline: January 31

Applicants must be female students who are are majoring in theology, sociology or anthropology. Applicants will submit a 500+ word essay using the prompt: "In a world that is devastated almost daily by acts of extreme violence in the name of religion or against those of different ethnicity, how can a solid education in theology, anthropology or sociology enable you to promote peace, understanding, tolerance and kindness not only at an academic level, but also in your day to day life?" Blrt Study Tip Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: October 16

Applicants must be currently enrolled at a university. Students will need to use the Blrt app to create a one minute video of their best study tip and post it on a website or blog. Students must then email Blrt with the URL of where the tip was posted.

 

University Tutor Monthly Scholarship Contest

Award: $1,000, Deadline: Monthly

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age. Students will need to submit a short essay in response to the monthly prompt.

 

StyleWe Scholarship of "Dreamers"

Award: $500, Deadline: December 31

Applicants must be high school seniors or current college students. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Students must have demonstrated creative abilities or leadership abilities through participation in community service, extracurricular or any other activities. Applicants will submit a 550-650 word essay describing why you decided to pursue a design career and what you plan on contributing to this field after graduation.

 

StyleWe Scholarship of "Showing Yourself"

Award: $500, Deadline: December 31

Applicants must be high school seniors or current college students. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Students must have demonstrated creative abilities or leadership abilities through participation in community service, extracurricular or any other activities. Applicants must submit the URL of a 5 to 8-minute video which has been uploaded to YouTube. The video should showcase your presentation skills, design capability, handmade ability and/or anything that you wish to present.

 

Safeco College Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: October 30

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and be currently enrolled at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or graduate school program. Students will post a 600- to 800-word essay on one of the driving safety topics on the website to their own blog. Selection is based on creativity, insight and quality of the writing. Applicants must complete the online application form in addition to the essay.

 

Mountain America Credit Union/Utah Public Employees Association Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicants must be residents of Utah or the child of a resident of Utah. Applicants must also be members of Mountain America Credit Union and also Utah Public Employees Association.

 

Fishbowl's Supply Chain Management Scholarship

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, enrolled at an accredited university and pursuing a business related degree. Students will submit a 600-word essay on one of the designated topics from the website. Essays must be submitted via email.

Applicants should be currently enrolled in degree programs in the fields of Biomedical Engineering, Health Sciences, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare. Students must be a legal residents of the U.S. or hold a valid student visa.

Applicants must be currently enrolled either full- or part-time in an accredited college or university. Applicants must be over 18 years of age. A 300-word essay on "why decor matters" is part of the application.

 

Hooked To Books Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 20

Applicants must be at least 15 years of age. Students will need to submit a 500-word essay on "How did a book change your life?" Essays must be emailed and include student name, address, phone number and state where the student currently attends or plans on attending school in the body of the email.

 

Girlterest Scholarship

Applicants must be female students of any age, including high school, undergraduate and post-graduate students. Students will need to submit an essay of at least 500 words on one of the given topics from the website. To apply, the essay must be emailed along with student's name, email address, phone number, mailing address, short biography and photo, verification of enrollment and field of study.

 

SelfScore International Student Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: November 15

Applicants must be international students who are studying in the U.S. on a F1, J1 or M1 visa in the current academic year. Required minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicants are required to submit an I-20 or DS-2019 form and must also score in the top 15% on the SAT, ACT, GRE or GMAT exam.

 

$1,000-5 Minute Scholarship

Applicants must submit an essay of 60 words or less explaining how to fix the problem of unpaid internships. Solutions should be pleasing to both sides of the argument and can include legislation, university rules or student union involvement. Applications must be submitted online.

Applicants must be high school seniors or college students with a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher, U.S. citizens or permanent residents and residents of the greater Chicago area. Applicants must be a high-school senior or college level student with a minimum 2.5 GPA or higher.
