Walla Walla College Theology Grant

Award: $2,500, Deadline: None

Applicants are ineligible for the Washington State Need Grant. Selection is based on financial need.

 

Martin J. Svaglic Award

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 25

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1180 (composite ACT score of 26). Applicant must be admitted to Loyola prior to February 25.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

Juliette M. Atherton Scholarship - Seminary Studies

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must attend an accredited graduate school of theology with the goal of being ordained in an established Protestant denomination.

 

Franks Foundation Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a resident of Crook, Deschutes, Grant, Harney, Jefferson, Klamath, or Lake County who will major in nursing or theology at a public or nonprofit college. FAFSA and minimum 2.5 GPA (2.0 for college students) required. U.S. Bank employees, their children, and near relatives are not eligible.

 

Harold & Evelyn Rice Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Boone County high school who will pursue post secondary education in ministry and is a male member of the Dover Christian Church. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Lewis B. Barber Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a high school in Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry or Lee County, FL who will pursue certification to teach deaf/blind or attend seminary/pre-seminary school.

 

Doris W. Frey Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry, or Lee County high school who will pursue a degree in ministry, nursing, or medicine.

 

Grace Brooks and E. Perry Palmer Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a graduate from a high school in the Community Foundation's 11-county service area who will pursue a degree in Philosophy and Religion at Claflin University, or a postgraduate seminary degree at an accredited institution. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Stella & William Moran Memorial Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior from St. Mary's High School who will major in education, nursing or theology.

 

The KASF Theology Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 31

Applicant must be Korean-American and be enrolled as a full time student studying theology. Selection is based upon financial need, academic achievement, extracurricular activities, and community service.

 

Chang, Hak Kyun Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 31

Applicant must be Korean-American and be enrolled as a full time student studying theology. Selection is based upon financial need, academic achievement, extracurricular activities, and community service.

 

Chung, Jung Sook Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 31

Applicant must be Korean-American and be enrolled as a full time student studying theology. Selection is based upon financial need, academic achievement, extracurricular activities, and community service.

 

Graduate Scholarship

Applicant must be a new graduate student who has been accepted into one of the eligible academic programs and will enroll in at least six credits.

 

John Sarrin Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: January 31

Applicants must belong to the Society of Friends. They must be committed to staying drug and alcohol free, and they must agree to never join the armed forces of any country. Students must possess good moral character in order to receive and keep the scholarship.

 

UCC Seminarian Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: March 1

Applicants must be members of a United Church of Christ congregation for at least one year prior to receipt of the scholarship. They must be currently enrolled in an ATS accredited seminary in a course of study to become an ordained minister, and they must maintain at least a B average to receive and keep the scholarship. Applicants should be able to show that they have demonstrated leadership abilities in a church or academic environment. Students must also agree to serve the United Church of Christ or one of its partners after the completion of their studies.

 

Virtuous Prom Peace Scholarship

Award: $250, Deadline: January 31

Applicants must be female students who are are majoring in theology, sociology or anthropology. Applicants will submit a 500+ word essay using the prompt: "In a world that is devastated almost daily by acts of extreme violence in the name of religion or against those of different ethnicity, how can a solid education in theology, anthropology or sociology enable you to promote peace, understanding, tolerance and kindness not only at an academic level, but also in your day to day life?" WomenLead Graduate Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: April 30

Applicants must be enrolling or plan to enroll in an accredited theological seminary or post-graduate institution. Students must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Applicants must demonstrate active Christian faith, civil engagement and leadership.
