Society of Women Engineers Sacramento Valley Section Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 22

Applicant must be a female enrolled in an engineering or computer science curriculum leading to a degree at California State University - Sacramento or University of California - Davis. Financial need required.

 

Nursing Education Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 29

Applicant must have been accepted to or is currently attending a full-time medicine-related program. Minimum 3.0 GPA and essay on the following topic required: what you hope to accomplish in the medical field and how you will impact the lives of others with the education and knowledge you acquire while in medical training.

 

Tenshon Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: July 15; December 15

Applicant must be a currently enrolled student who is interested in the field of architecture, design, and/or engineering. A unique shade sail structure design using Google Sketchup must be created in order to apply. Selection based upon creativity, build-ability, practicality, and location.

 

AAF Fort Wayne Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 29

Applicant must be a full-time college student registered in an advertising or marketing related field: advertising, marketing, public relations, communications, commercial art, media techniques, video production, telecommunications, or web design. Applicant must be from or attending a school in one of the following Indiana counties: Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, or Whitley.

 

Marketing EDGE Scholarship Awards

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident who is an undergraduate or graduate student studying marketing at an accredited four-year institution. Minimum 3.0 GPA, a minimum of two college-level marketing courses completed, and a commitment to pursuing a career in marketing are required.

Applicant must submit an essay of at least 500 words explaining why you want to learn Spanish, why you wish to visit Spain, and why you think you're the ideal candidate.

 

Student Scholarship

Applicant must be currently enrolled at a college or university. Essay regarding the following questions is required: How will you use your talents and education to make the world a better place for future generations? What are your career and personal goals and why?

 

Resume Companion Scholarship Giveaway

Applicant must be enrolled or due to be enrolled at a full-time college or university. Resume based on the life of a well known person/character from TV, history, literature, or myth etc. required.

 

Book Marketing Scholarship

Essay College Scholarship

Applicant must be pursuing a medical college degree related to sleep or a related program. Essay regarding one of the questions found on the sponsor's site is required.

 

TOCA Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate college student pursuing a career in green industry communications. Applicant must major or minor in technical communications or a green industry-related field such as horticulture, plant sciences, botany, agronomy, plant pathology, etc. Interest in using this course of study in the field of communications must be demonstrated. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Internet Security Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be an incoming freshman college student or current college student with a minimum 2.5 GPA. A 400- to 600-word essay about where you see Internet security in the next five years is required.

 

Women in Business Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 14

Applicant must be a current high school student who has taken the SAT or ACT and can provide proof of enrollment at an accredited school in the United States or be a current college student enrolled full-time at a school in the United States. Minimum 3.0 GPA and essay on one of the designated topics found on the sponsor's website are required.

 

FiNCAD Scholarship Program

Applicant must be a United States or Canadian citizen or permanent resident who is a female business student focusing on finance and/or derivatives. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Goodwin & Scieszka Innovation Scholarship

Applicant must be a current law student at an accredited law school within the United States or an undergraduate student who is planning to attend law school. Minimum 2.8 GPA, transcript, and response to one essay question are required.

The Reeves Law Group Scholarship Contest

Applicant must be a high school senior who is looking to enter college at the start of the next school year or a currently enrolled student in a college or university. Applicant must discuss a time that they stood up for someone who could not stand up for himself or herself, and how that experience has impacted their life and the lives of the person or persons they may have helped. Story can be submitted in any of the following ways: Powerpoint or Prezi Presentation, video (via YouTube), traditional essay, blog post, social media post, or any other creative way. Selection based upon quality of writing, creativity of presentation, and 'sharability' and emotion.

 

Trucker to Trucker Scholarship

Applicant must be a current or future student of an accredited commercial driving program. Application and 300-500 word essay are required.

 

The New School Competition

Applicant must be a graduating high school student looking to begin undergraduate studies next fall at The New School in New York City; non-graduating high school students are welcome to join the competition and compete for Apple iPad Minis. Selection based upon quiz performance as well as the quality of video presentation.

 

Massachusetts Federation of Polish Women's Clubs Scholarship

Applicant must be a United States citizen of Polish descent or a Polish citizen with permanent residency status in the United States residing in Massachusetts who will be in their second, third, or fourth year of undergraduate studies. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Polish American Club of North Jersey Scholarship

Applicant must be a United States citizen of Polish descent or a Polish citizen with permanent residency status in the United States who is an active member of the Polish American Club of North Jersey. Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university in the United States. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Polish National Alliance of Brooklyn, USA Scholarship

Applicant must be a United States citizen of Polish descent or Polish citizen with permanent residency status in the United States who is a member in good standing of the Polish National Alliance of Brooklyn, USA, Lodge #1903. Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited college or university in the United States with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Ed Bradley Scholarship

Applicant must be officially enrolled in college and have at least one full academic year remaining or be a fully enrolled college sophomore or higher. Applicant may be enrolled in an major provided their intent is to pursue a career in electronic journalism. Application, resume, cover letter, recommendation, and three to five work samples are required.

 

George Foreman Tribute to Lyndon B. Johnson Scholarship

Award: $6,000, Deadline: May 2

Applicant must be officially enrolled in college and have at least one full academic year remaining or be a fully enrolled college sophomore or higher. Applicant must be a journalism student at the University of Texas at Austin. Application, resume, cover letter, recommendation, and three to five work samples are required.

 

Lou and Carole Prato Sports Reporting Scholarship

Applicant must be officially enrolled in college and have at least one full academic year remaining or be a fully enrolled college sophomore or higher. Applicant must be a journalism student who enjoys covering athletics. Application, resume, cover letter, recommendation, and three to five work samples are required.
