Applicant must demonstrate talent in art, dance, music, or theatre.

 

Robert D. Ashworth Fund Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be the member of or have immediate family as a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Charleston, WV.

 

SCPA Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a West Virginia resident whose family member is employed or has been previously employed by the coal industry within Southern West Virginia. Employee must work for a company involved in the mining and processing of coal that is located within the following W.Va. counties: Boone, Braxton, Cabell, Calhoun, Clay, Fayette, Greenbrier, Jackson, Kanawha, Lincoln, Logan, Mason, McDowell, Mercer, Mingo, Monroe, Nicholas, Pocahontas, Putnam, Raleigh, Randolph, Roane, Summers, Wayne, Webster, and Wyoming. Selection is based upon financial need.

 

Charleston Rotary Club Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a resident of the Charleston area who is studying business or a related field. Preference given to students having prior business or entrepreneurial experience. Minimum 2.0 GPA and minimum composite ACT score of 20 required.

 

Geraldine Gee Memorial Nursing Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a resident of Boone County who plans to study nursing at the start of their sophomore year. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Mary E. (Nalbach) Huseby Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a resident of the Cedar Grove area in West Virginia who plans to major in education. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Bernice Pickens Parsons Fund Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a resident of West Virginia; preference will be given to Jackson County residents. Applicant must be planning to major in the fields of library science, nursing, or para-professional training in the legal field. Minimum 2.5 GPA and composite ACT score of 20 required.

 

Maine Metal Products Association Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Maine who is attending a Maine school of higher education with an outstanding record and the overall potential to attend an institution of higher learning, majoring in machine trades or related metal working areas.

California Eastern Star Foundation Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or a continuing undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college, university, community college, trade school, or religious institution. Minimum 3.0 GPA, financial need, and strong high school and/or community leadership record required. Applicants generally funded by this award will primarily be those with masonic ties or those who are members of Masonic Youth Groups.

 

Departmental Merit Scholarship

Nominations are made during spring quarter by each department for the following academic year.

 

Dean's Scholarship

Selection is based on highest cumulative grade-point averages. Recipients must be enrolled for all three quarters at the time of their selection and reception of the award.

Recipients are nominated by departments and supervisors, based on outstanding work for the department.

 

Summer Camp/Christian Service Scholarship

Applicant must work a summer as a youth-camp staff member or as a student intern for a church, conference, or union office.

Applicant must be a Washington State resident for one year prior to application. Selection based on financial need

Lewiston/Clarkston/Pomeroy Seventh-Day Adventist Church Grant

Applicants must be a member of the Lewiston, Clarkston, or Pomerory Seventh-Day Adventists Church. Selection is based of financial need or a minimum 3.5 GPA.

 

Church Match Grant

Applicants must be recipient of a scholarship from home church and demonstrate financial need. The following conditions must be met: the appropriation must come from church funds, donations from the recipients family are not included, recipient did not work for the church to earn money, no one donor gave more than one quarter of the total, and the pastor and treasurer must complete and sign a school request form.

 

AIA West Virginia Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: May 30

Applicant must be a student enrolled at Fairmont State University in a four-year non-professional B.S.Arch. program.

 

Family Grant

Applicant must be a sibling of a current full-time day student.

 

Dependent of an Active Member Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: July 31

Applicant must be a dependent of an active (dues are current), lifetime or deceased lifetime member of Wyoming Peace Officer Association. Applicant must be a full-time student with 12 semester hours and must satisfactorily complete 12 hours for the fall semester to be eligible for the spring stipend. Satisfactory completion is defined as a minimum grade of "C".

 

Wyoming Resident Law Enforcement Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: July 31

Applicant must be a Wyoming resident majoring in law enforcement at the University of Wyoming or a Wyoming community college. Applicant must be a full-time student with 12 semester hours and must satisfactorily complete 12 hours for the fall semester to be eligible for the spring stipend. Satisfactory completion is defined as a minimum grade of "C".

 

Active Member Scholarship

Applicant must be a current member of the Wyoming Peace Officer Association who is enrolled in a law enforcement major program at the University of Wyoming or any Wyoming community college.

 

Campion Scholarship

W. Price Jr. Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Texas who is enrolled in any degreed food-service or hospitality program as a full-time student with at least three hours per semester devoted to food-service or hospitality management. Minimum 2.75 GPA required.

 

Victor Wilson Scholarship

Applicant must a male resident of Kansas City, Mo. Selection based on academic achievement, financial need, and talent.
