Vermont Police Association: Erwin Bugbee Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont pursuing a degree in law enforcement at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Vermont Sheriffs' Association Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who will pursue a degree in law enforcement at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Ludlow VFW Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont pursuing a degree in law enforcement at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Wyoming Resident Law Enforcement Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: July 31

Applicant must be a Wyoming resident majoring in law enforcement at the University of Wyoming or a Wyoming community college. Applicant must be a full-time student with 12 semester hours and must satisfactorily complete 12 hours for the fall semester to be eligible for the spring stipend. Satisfactory completion is defined as a minimum grade of "C".

 

Active Member Scholarship

Applicant must be a current member of the Wyoming Peace Officer Association who is enrolled in a law enforcement major program at the University of Wyoming or any Wyoming community college.

 

Pre-Service Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: July 31

Applicant must be a pre-service student who has successfully completed or who will successfully complete (within the last year of July 1 to June 30) a peace officer basic course or detention officer basic course offered by the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy.

 

Law Enforcement Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be a full-time student. Applicant must submit transcript and personal statement about intended career in policing.

 

Dean Reep Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a North Carolina resident who is planning a career in crime prevention, have high moral character and a minimum 3.4 GPA, and be a full-time senior who is graduating in May or graduate student. Applicant must submit transcript, two letters of reference from people who can attest to applicant's high moral character, and personal statement of goals.

 

Indiana Sheriff's Association Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be an Indiana resident who is committed to pursuing an education and career in law enforcement at an Indiana college or university as a full-time student. Applicant must be a member or the son, daughter, grandson, or granddaughter or a member of the Indiana Sheriff's Association. SAT or ACT scores are required.

 

Deputy William G. Giacomo Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be the child or grandchild of a law enforcement officer who works or has worked in Nicholas County, W.Va., and must be a graduate of Nicholas High School or Richwood High School. Letter of recommendation, personal essay, and transcripts required. Preference is given to applicants studying law enforcement.

 

John H. Stamler Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: June 15

Applicant must be New Jersey resident and a sworn law enforcement officer seeking educational advancement on a college or graduate level to improve his/her effectiveness. Applicant must demonstrate financial need.

 

Luciano J. Iorizzo Scholarship

Award: $250, Deadline: January 30

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA (public justice 3.2 GPA) and demonstrate financial need.

 

Raymond Joseph Statny Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: January 30

Applicant must be a full-time student, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, participate in intramural or intercollegiate athletics, and submit an essay describing career goals.

 

Law Enforcement Officer Memorial Scholarship (LEOMS)

Applicant must be a child of a New Jersey law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty; full-time enrollment in an eligible (NJ approved) institution is required.

 

Robert C. Carson Memorial Bursary

Award: $500, Deadline: September 30

Applicant must be an Alberta resident and a full-time student enrolled in the second year of either a law enforcement or criminal justice program.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

Sheryl A. Horak Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a law enforcement explorer who is at least in the 12th grade. Three letters of recommendation and an essay are required. Candidates will be evaluated on academic record, leadership ability, extracurricular activities and essay. Application must be approved by applicant's local Learning for Life office for consideration.

 

Oregon Association of Certified Fraud Examiners Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be enrolling as a college senior or above at a four-year public or nonprofit college or university in Oregon pursuing a degree in accounting, business, criminal justice, finance, law, law enforcement, or risk management. Minimum 3.25 GPA required.

 

Perry County FOP Scholarship

Award: $450, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Perry County high school pursuing a career in law enforcement or a related field.

 

Greg Andres North Dearborn Conservation Club Memorial Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: January 9

Applicant must be a graduating senior from East Central High School or Franklin County High School who will pursue a career as a conservation officer, law enforcement officer or a career in the medical field at an accredited vocational or two- or four-year institution of higher learning. Essay required.

 

Allen Butler Minority Law Enforcement Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: January 15 (application deadline); March 1 (FAFSA deadline)

Applicant must be a high school senior in a Duluth public school with three years residency. Applicant must plan to pursue law enforcement at any college or university. Minimum 2.0 GPA and FAFSA required.

 

Harold Johnson Law Enforcement Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 7

Applicant must have declared a program of study in law enforcement (or criminal justice, administration of justice or police science) and have plans to pursue a career in police work, corrections or other criminal justice fields. Applicant must be a resident of San Mateo or Santa Clara counties. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Samuel W. Thompson Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Caledonia or Washington County, VT who was born in Vermont and will pursue a degree in law enforcement or fish and game management. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Bob Clark Memorial Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Greensburg, North Decatur or South Decatur High School who will major in criminology or law enforcement at an accredited post-secondary institution.

 

Benjamin E. Moody Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 27

Applicant must be a graduate from a Wayne County high school who will pursue post-secondary education in the field of law enforcement. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Charles L. Gittens Scholarship

Judge Robert Jenkins Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Portage County who is pursuing a post-secondary degree in the field of law, law enforcement, or natural resources. Minimum 3.4 GPA required; community service/co-curricular activities must be demonstrated.

 

Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Degrees - Undergraduate Scholarship

Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident who is a graduating high school senior or currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing an associates or bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: computer forensics, corrections, criminal justice, forensic psychology, homeland security, law enforcement, and sociology with law/criminal emphasis.
