Law Enforcement Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be a full-time student. Applicant must submit transcript and personal statement about intended career in policing.

 

Wade H. Stroud Scholarship

Award: $800, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be enrolled for at least nine credit hours. Applicant must submit transcript and personal statement about intended career goals.

 

North Carolina Sheriffs' Association Undergraduate Criminal Justice Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a North Carolina resident. Priority given first to children of a sheriff or deputy sheriff, then to children of any law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty, then to children of any sheriff or deputy sheriff who is deceased or retired, and then to criminal justice majors with high GPAs and financial need. Applicant must submit letter of recommendation from sheriff in his or her county of residence, transcript, and documentation of criteria.

 

Free Tuition Program for Children of Certain South Carolina War Veterans

Applicant must be the child of a South Carolina war veteran who is listed as permanently and totally disabled by the Veterans Administration, or in receipt of the Purple Heart or Medal of Honor, Non-Service Connected Pension. Award is for undergraduate study and may be used at state supported South Carolina public colleges and universities only.

 

Alma and Sharon Goudes Educational Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time student, have a minimum 3.0 GPA in at least 45 semester hours of higher education course work, intend to pursue teaching as a career, and demonstrate significant work with children and evidence of leadership skills.

 

Dance and Theatre Fine Arts Scholarship for Continuing Students

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, submit letter of application with supporting reasons as to financial need and artistic/academic suitability for award, and have current resume on file in Departmental Office.

 

Parents Association Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 2

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is 25 years of age or younger and a high school senior who ranks in top 15% of class, transfer student with a minimum 3.25 GPA and at least 12 completed credit hours, or continuing university student.

 

General Resident Scholarship

Award: $9,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be an Arizona resident, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be a first degree-seeking student who is enrolled full time (minimum 12 credit hours per semester), and demonstrate financial need in the amount of state tuition as determined by submitting FAFSA by March 1. Preference given to continuing Arizona St U students.

 

General Merit Scholarship

Applicant must be an Arizona resident, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be a first degree-seeking student enrolled full time (minimum 12 credit hours per semester). Priority given to continuing Arizona St U students with high academic excellence.

 

General Nonresident Scholarship

Applicant must be a nonresident, demonstrate high academic achievement, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be a first degree-seeking student enrolled full time (minimum 12 credit hours per semester). Incoming freshman applicant must rank in top 3% of secondary school class. Sophomore, junior, and senior applicants must be current or previous recipients of award. Recipients must complete a minimum of 40 hours of Arizona community service off campus at a nonprofit agency during year of award.

 

Edward A. Cummings Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time first degree-seeking student not on academic probation who demonstrates a high unmet financial need.

 

Bill and Mary Russell Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: July 1

Applicant must be accepted and enrolled in an approved nursing or health care related program. Applicant must reside within the Heartland Foundation service region which includes the following counties in Missouri: Andrew, Atchison, Buchanan, Caldwell, Carroll, Clay, Clinton, Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Holt, Livingston, Mercer, Nodaway, Platte, Ray, and Worth; in Iowa: Decatur, Fremont, Page, Ringgold, and Taylor; in Kansas: Atchison, Brown, Doniphan, and Nemaha; and in Nebraska: Nemaha and Richardson.

 

Cherokee Nation Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: June 15

Applicant must attend a regionally accredited school, be a member of the Cherokee Nation, and submit proof of CDIB and tribal membership. Financial need and academic record are considered.

 

Honors Dorm Stipend

Applicant must participate in the honors program and must live in the honors dorm.

 

Merit Scholarship

Applicant must be a finalist or semi-finalist in the National Merit scholarship program.

 

Collegiate Inventors Competition

Award: $15,000, Deadline: June 14

Applicant must be a full-time student, or must have been a full-time student, at least 12 months prior to entry. Team entries may have a maximum of four members and at least one full-time student, remaining members must have been enrolled at least part-time in the 24 months prior to entry. There are no limits on the number of entries an individual or team can submit. Each student or team can receive only one award.

 

Herman Barnikol Endowment

Applicant must be an Arizona resident and an American Indian. Selection is based upon scholastic performance, promise of success in a chosen field, character, and financial need. Preference given to past recipients.

 

Lawrence Mather Belden Memorial Endowment

Applicant must be an Arizona resident, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours.

Applicant must be African-American and a full-time student and demonstrate financial need. Undergraduate applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and graduate applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
