IRA Educational Foundation Scholarship

Award: $11,000, Deadline: May 15

Applicant must be permanent resident of Illinois.

 

International Foodservice Editorial Council Annual Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be currently enrolled and in good standing in a post-secondary, degree-granting educational institution. Evidence of training, skill and interest in both foodservice and the communication arts are required.

 

Otis West Memorial Award

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be transferring from a Del Mar school. Three letters of recommendation required.

 

W. Price Jr. Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a resident of Texas who is enrolled in any degreed food-service or hospitality program as a full-time student with at least three hours per semester devoted to food-service or hospitality management. Minimum 2.75 GPA required.

 

Student Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: Mid-April

Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited, four-year college or university, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, be seeking a managerial career in the private club industry, and submit essay, transcript, and recommendations.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

Marriott Scholars Program

Award: $9,000, Deadline: February 16

Applicant must be Hispanic or of Hispanic descent who is a rising freshman, sophomore, or is planning to transfer from a two-year college to a four-year university of college in pursuit of a degree within the hospitality management, hotel management, culinary or food and beverage field.

 

Shirley A.Preissel and Debbie A. Dobyns Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Wisconsin Dells High School who will pursue a two- or four-year program related to the hospitality field.

 

Ferrarelle Scholarship Program

Award: $15,000, Deadline: n/a

Applicant must be an M.B.A. student in the Food and Wine Program of Alma Graduate School, the business school of the University of Bologna, Italy. One award will be granted to an American applicant.

 

Frank and Ruth Bila Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: January 16

Applicant must a graduating high school senior, high school graduate, or current college/university student in Orange County between the ages of 17 and 30 who is pursuing a career in the field of restaurant or hotel management. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Hungry to Lead Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be a U.S. resident who is enrolled in a foodservice or hospitality program at a college or university. Minimum 2.5 GPA, 1300 SAT, or 18 ACT score required. Transcripts, short answer/essay questions, and one letter of recommendation also required.

 

Russ Casey/Maine Restaurant Associates Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 28

Applicants must be Maine residents. They must be enrolled in or planning to enroll in a degree program relating to hospitality, restaurant management, hotel management or culinary arts. Preference will be given to students who are attending school in Maine. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.
