Applicant must be a Henry County resident enrolled in a college or university in the state of Indiana entering at least their third year of study in the field of education.

 

Preble Family Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from New Castle High School who participated in extracurricular activities such as band, choir, or orchestra and will study music at a college or university. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Daniel Altmiller Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 16

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Columbus East or Columbus North High School who plans to pursue a bachelor's degree in education, occupational or physical therapy at an accredited college or university.

 

Class of 1948 Scholarship Fund to Further the Teaching Profession in the Name of Alta Redmond

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Columbus East, Columbus North or Hauser High School who will pursue post-secondary studies to obtain a degree in the field of education.

 

Columbus Rotary Scholarship in Honor of Judson S. Erne

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Bartholomew County high school who will attend a college, university or technical school pursuing a degree in divinity, education, nursing or social work. Community service and minimum 2.0 GPA required.

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Columbus North High School who will attend a college or university as a full-time student pursuing a degree in education.

Applicant must be a resident of Indiana pursuing an undergraduate of graduate degree in the field of education at an accredited post-secondary institution.

Applicant must be a graduating senior or past graduate who is a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church and is enrolled in an accredited two- or four-year degree program, graduate school, or vocational program.

 

Ferne Daniel Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior of Ephrata High School. Preference will be given to those going into agriculture/related field or education.

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Franklin Community High School who will enroll full-time at an accredited college or university in Indiana with plans on becoming a teacher. Minimum 2.0 GPA required.

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Franklin Community High School who will pursue a career in secondary math education and attend an accredited college or university full-time. Financial need and minimum 2.0 GPA required.

 

Joan Murphy Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Franklin Community High School who will major in education full-time at an accredited college or university. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Psi Iota XI Judy Georges Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a high school graduate who resides in the school districts of Whiteland, Center Grove or Greenwood and plans to major in education or speech/hearing.

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Franklin Community High School who will enroll full-time at an accredited college or university to become a teacher or administrator at the elementary grade school level. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Melonye Shurtz Memorial Scholarship

Award: $300, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior of Eastmont High School who is pursuing further education in a service related field such as teaching, medical, social work, etc. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Judith Butler Van Valer Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a current or past graduate of Greenwood Community High School or a high school in Marion or Hamilton County who plans to enroll full-time at an accredited college or university and major in the arts or education.

 

Bill Berrier Scholarship Fund

Award: $1,500, Deadline: April 16

Applicant must be a graduating senior from San Dieguito Academy, Sunset High, La Costa Canyon, Torrey Pines, or Canyon Crest Academy who plans to prepare for a professional career in the field of education. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

KHS Class of '59 Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Preston County high school graduate who is regularly enrolled as an undergraduate student in a four-year college or university, pursuing studies in science, technology, education, and/or mathematics. Minimum 2.5 GPA and documentation of community service are required.

 

Cecil E. Burney Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a high school senior or graduate of a Coastal Bend high school pursuing a liberal arts degree with a major in history, political science, music, or education at one of the following schools: Coastal Bend College, Del Mar College, Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi, or Texas A&M University - Kingsville. Minimum 3.5 GPA required.

 

Glen LeBleu Scholarship

Award: $7,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a sophomore at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi who is majoring in education. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and maintain a course load of at least 12 semester hours (nine for graduate students).

 

Faye and Rendell Webb Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduate from Miller or Moody High School who plans to pursue a major in education at a college in Texas. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

CIS/Kalamazoo Public Education Foundation Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior at one of the following high schools: Kalamazoo Central High School, Loy Norrix High School, or Kalamazoo Alternative Public High School. Applicant must be planning to enroll as a full-time student studying education at an accredited college or university.

 

Clarence L. Remynse Scholarship

Award: $7,500, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior who is a permanent resident of Kalamazoo County for a minimum of 12 months prior to application or a graduating high school senior who has been enrolled in a high school within Kalamazoo County for a minimum of 12 months prior to application. Appliacnt must plan to enroll full-time in a regionally accredited college or university in a course of study that leads to a bachelor's degree in business, science (including mathematics and engineering), law, education, psychology or medicine. Financial need is required.

 

Gail and Hilda Oster Scholarship Fund

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Van Buren County resident who is a graduating senior or graduate enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in a bachelor's degree program at the University of Michigan or Western Michigan University in education or mathematics; or is planning to pursue/is pursuing training at Michigan State University in the School of Veterinary Medicine. Minimum 2.75 GPA (3.0 GPA for graduate students) and financial need are required.

 

James F. McLachlan Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior of Evart High School who plans to attend an accredited two- or four-year trade school, college or university pursuing advanced trade or industrial skill. Participation in school and/or community volunteer service and transcript are required; interviews may be required.

 

California Retired Teachers Association Division 55 Bessie Scott Scholarship Fund

Award: $500, Deadline: April 13

Applicant must be a Mendocino County public high school senior who plans to attend a four-year college or university to study education. Selection is based upon ability and aptitude for a teaching career, prior academic performance, and community and/or extracurricular activities.

 

Juanita Shelor Hall Memorial Scholarship Fund

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 6

Applicant must be an Auburn High School student who who plans to pursue an undergraduate degree in business or education. Financial need is required.
