Applicant must be a graduating senior from St. Mary's High School who will major in education, nursing or theology.

 

Collier-McKinney Endowed Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be majoring in elementary education at Franklin College.

 

Ryan Wanta Memorial Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a resident of Portage County who is enrolled in a child care or early childhood education program.

 

Thomas William Bennett Memorial Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Palm Beach or Martin County, FL high school who will major in education. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Irene Gibson Clay Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Belle Glade or South Bay, FL who will major in elementary education. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Vena Case Robinson Memorial Scholarship Fund

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 3

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Henderson County public high school who plans to major in elementary education. Preference will be given to applicants who attended Dana Elementary School.

 

Nancy D. Palm Scholarship Fund

Award: $4,000, Deadline: March 24

Applicant must be or plan to be undergraduate or graduate student at a Texas college or university who is specializing in elementary education. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Cotterman Family Endowed Scholarship in Elementary Education

Applicant must be a Michigan State University student who is completing their fifth year student teaching internship with the intent of teaching grades K-3. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

AGCO Corporation FFA Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicants must be current FFA members and high school seniors or college students planning to enroll or currently enrolled full-time. They must have one of the following undergraduate majors: agronomy, crop science, general agriculture, agricultural communications, education, journalism, extension, public relations, business management, economics, sales and marketing, engineering, mechanization, agriculture power and equipment or welding. Students only need to complete the online application one time to be considered for all FFA-administered scholarships. The application requires information about the student's activities and a 1,000-word essay. Awards may be used for books, supplies, tuition, fees and room and board. Students must show financial need and evidence of community service participation.

 

The NEA-Retired Jack Kinnaman Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: April 15

Applicants must be NEA student members, major in education and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. An essay describing activities in NEA, a brief paragraph describing financial need, two letters of recommendation and a copy of the most recent transcript are required.

 

Scholarships in Mathematics Education

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 6

Applicants must be enrolled at an accredited Illinois postsecondary institution in an undergraduate mathematics education curriculum that provides preparation for becoming a teacher. They must be rising juniors or seniors who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a four-point scale. Applicants must be pursuing a first bachelor's degree. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Sister Mary Petronia Van Straten and Ethel A. Neijahr Scholarships

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicants must be Wisconsin legal residents, be enrolled in a teacher education program and have completed or be in the process of completing a course in mathematics teaching methods. They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

Students must be seniors at Jacksonville State University and majoring in elementary education.

Applicants must be juniors or seniors at Jacksonville State University. Students must be majoring in education with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and be full-time students.
