Trustee Music Scholarship

Award: $18,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must have significant promise in instrumental or vocal music. Auditions are required for eligibility.

 

Dean's Music Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must have significant promise in instrumental or vocal music. Auditions are required for eligibility.

 

Lucia A. Wright Piano Scholarship

Award: $2,100, Deadline: May 15

Applicant must be between the ages of 17 and 25 who is a resident of the state of Maine. Applicant must be a music major in the fall semester at any accredited music school, college, or university. Audition (not to exceed 15 minutes) requires applicants to perform at least two memorized compositions from two different periods (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, or Modern).

 

Fine Arts Scholarships

Award: $15,000, Deadline: February 1 (December 1 for early action/decision)

Selection is based upon high school record: GPA, difficulty of courses, class rank, and SAT or ACT scores. Audition or portfolio presentations for those applying to the Departments of Art, Music and Theatre are required. Talent may influence the award amount.

 

Music Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 28

Applicant must be pursuing a major in music and prepare an audition tape/CD with a minimum of three pieces of contrasting style. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of musical and artistic talent in the areas of voice, instrumental, and piano.

 

Fine Arts Entrance Scholarship

Award: $650, Deadline: March 17

Applicant must be entering the Faculty of Fine Arts with a minimum 75% average. Selection is based on academic achievement and artistic talent.

 

Jennie Lou Breland Music Scholarship

Applicant must be majoring in music. Scholarship is awarded based upon a recommendation by the music faculty.

 

Katherine India Brown Scholarship

Doris and Clarence Glick Classical Music Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must major in music with an emphasis on classical music. Personal statement required.

 

Marjorie Urban Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior residing in Hansford, Lipscomb, or Ochiltree counties in Texas, who exhibits community service and leadership and will major in music or religion. Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA required while in college.

 

Buerkle Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduate of a Jackson, Klamath, or Josephine County high school who will pursue a degree in english, journalism, math, music or physical education at a public or nonprofit college or university. FAFSA required. Preference given to nontraditional students attending a college in Oregon with a 3.6 GPA or higher.

 

Nicholas Diermann Memorial Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be pursuing a degree in accounting, music, performing arts, or sales (computer, software) operations at a four-year public college or university. FAFSA and essay required.

 

Leora Frances Brunk McDaniel Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a female graduating senior from Jefferson High School in Portland, Oregon who is studying art or music, or attending a college or art, letters, or science. FAFSA required.

 

Kaech Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduate of a public high school in Portland, Oregon who is majoring in music. FAFSA and minimum 2.5 GPA required. Preference for reed instruments and those attending Portland State or Oregon State University, and then any other Oregon public or nonprofit college or university.

 

Technical Training Fund

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduate of an Oregon high school who demonstrates extraordinary technical or artistic potential in the areas of craftsmanship, manual skills, art, music, culinary arts, or other related areas. FAFSA required.

 

Opal Greenlee Memorial Fund Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a resident of Blackford County who will pursue an education in the field of music or music education.

 

Rich Scott Memorial Music Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a resident of Blackford County who will pursue a full-time baccalaureate course of study in music, or who plays a musical instrument and/or simply enjoys the world of music.

 

Psi Iota Xi, Omega Chapter- Malpas Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a female graduating senior from Lebanon High School who ranks in the top third of her class and will pursue post secondary education in art, literature, music or speech and hearing. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Arts Council of Gibson County Scholarship

Award: $2,040, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Gibson County high school planning to pursue a two- or four-year degree at an accredited college or university in the field of art, drama, or music. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required.

 

William J. Schergens Music Scholarship

Award: $1,020, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior or graduate of a Perry County high school who is pursuing a college degree in music or a degree in education with some emphasis on music. Financial need, good academic standing and minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required.

 

Herb and Betty Curry Scholarship

Award: $980, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Posey County high school pursuing post-secondary education in music (vocal or instrumental), music education, or the performing arts. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required.

 

Margaret Corbin Wathen Scholarship

Award: $620, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Posey County high school planning to pursue a major in music or music education.

 

Dorothy Rapp Music Scholarship

Applicant must be an active member of a Baptist church in Evansville, Indiana who will pursue education or development of music skills consistent with Christian principles and lifestyle for the furtherance of church music.

 

Joseph B. Campbell Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Boonville High School pursuing a college education in art or music or having demonstrated an aptitude in art or music.

 

Lee and Bessie S. Blazer Music Scholarship

Dorothy Pfenninger Scholarship

Preble Family Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from New Castle High School who participated in extracurricular activities such as band, choir, or orchestra and will study music at a college or university. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Laura Showalter Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Bartholomew County who will study music at an accredited post-secondary educational institution.

 

J.S. Bach Musical Leadership Scholarship
