Applicant must be a Crown Point High School graduate who demonstrates leadership in school and community activities and who will be attending an accredited college or university. Essay, transcript, and proof of acceptance required.

 

Indiana Oratorical Contest

Award: $3,400, Deadline: December 13

Applicants must be high school students under the age of 20 who are U.S. citizens or legal residents and residents of the state. Students first give an oration within their state and winners compete at the national level. The oration must be related to the Constitution of the United States focusing on the duties and obligations citizens have to the government. It must be in English and be between eight and ten minutes. There is also an assigned topic which is posted on the website, and it should be between three and five minutes.

 

Indiana Broadcasters Association College Scholarships

Applicants must be Indiana residents and current college students with a 3.0 or higher GPA. Students must be actively participating in a college broadcast facility or working for a commercial broadcast facility and be attending an IBA member institution that has a radio/TV facility on campus and/or offers majors in telecommunications or broadcast journalism.

 

Shook Construction Harry F. Gaeke Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be U.S. citizens either living in or attending school in Ohio, Kentucky or Indiana. They must be in at least the second year of an undergraduate degree program that is related to construction and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Applicants must be high school seniors who have participated in the Indiana Junior Golf Program for at least two years, have a 3.0 GPA or higher, display strong character and have financial need. Selection is based on these criteria as well as a personal essay.

 

David E. Simon Scholarship

Applicants must be a senior in high school, have worked in an Indiana golf facility in the previous 12 months, have a 3.0 GPA, display strong character and prove financial need. Selection is based on financial need, personal essay and academic achievement.

Applicants must be residents of Indiana or of a state that is adjacent to Indiana. They must be enrolled at an Indiana school or at a Foundry Educational Foundation (FEF) member school located in a state that is adjacent to Indiana. They must have prior work experience in manufacturing, the die casting industry or the cast metal industry. Preference will be given to applicants who are studying a subject that is related to the die casting industry. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

Applicants must be children of Indiana workers who were fatally or catastrophically injured in a work-related accident or as a result of an occupational disease that is compensable by the state's workers' compensation board. They must be 16 to 25 years of age.

Applicants must be current students enrolled in a two-year institution in the Transfer Times distribution area of Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota or Wisconsin.
