Applicant must be a graduating senior of Capital High School who plans to major in teaching at a West Virginia college or university. Minimum 2.5 GPA and composite ACT score of 21 required.

 

Riverside Math and Science Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior of Riverside High School with plans to attend a college or university in West Virginia and pursing a degree in math or science. Minimum 2.5 GPA and composite ACT score of 20 required.

 

Shepherd Family Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a resident of Boone, Clay, Fayette, Jackson, Kanawha, Lincoln or Putnam County. Applicant must be attending the University of Charleston pursing a degree in nursing. Minimum 2.5 GPA and composite ACT score of 20 required.

Applicant must be a resident of West Virginia who is a member of Weight Watchers. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Stemple Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Calhoun County. Minimum 2.5 GPA and composite ACT score of 20 required.

 

Steven Engineering Scholarship

Applicant must be studying engineering. Preference given to students attending West Virginia University Institute of Technology or West Virginia University. Minimum 2.5 GPA and composite ACT score of 20 required.

Applicant must be a graduate of St. Albans High School and major in Nursing.

 

McKelvey Foundation Bronze Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: February 5

Applicant either must have graduated from high school at least one year prior to application date and were unable to go to college because of financial considerations or had to leave college because of financial considerations. Applicant must reside on campus in a double room and must complete 25 hours of community service each year. Applicant must apply for financial aid via FAFSA each year and apply for additional scholarships.
