Academic Tuition Scholarship

Award: $6,750, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a high school graduate with a minimum 3.5 GPA and enroll for a minimum of 12 semester hours.

 

Abe Voron Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: October 14

Applicant must be enrolled at a BEA-member institution. Selection is based upon substantial evidence of superior academic performance and potential to be an outstanding contributor to radio. Applicant must demonstrate interest in the radio industry, high integrity, and personal and professional responsibility.

 

Jesse Wrench Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: August 1

Applicant must create a research project based on some aspect of Missouri archaeology and submit a proposal.

 

National Amputee Golf Association Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1; August 1

Applicant must be an amputee who is a member of NAGA or the child of an amputee who is a member of NAGA (anatomical loss of a hand or foot at a major joint) and submit grades and a resume. Student aid report denoting financial need must be submitted.

 

Power Systems Professional Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must pursue a career as a strength and conditioning coach, be a member of NSCA for at least one year, be in good standing at institution, and working as a strength and conditioning coach in the school's athletic department.

 

Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be at least a sophmore, have a minimum CI of 2.70, and maintain full-time status. Selection is based upon applicants who demonstrate the greatest financial need. Open to both Deree and Junior College applicants.

Alexander M. Tanger Scholarship

Applicant must be enrolled at a BEA-member institution. Selection is based upon substantial evidence of superior academic performance and potential to be an outstanding contributor to the field. Applicant should demonstrate interest in the general field of broadcasting and have a high order of integrity and sense of responsibility.

 

Dobbins Officers' Wives' Club Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be the daughter, son, or spouse of Dobbins Air Force Base personnel and be enrolled full time. Dependents of Air National Guard personnel are eligible.

 

Girl Scout Gold Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a woman who is a recipient of the Girl Scout Gold Award. Minimum 3.0 GPA is required.

 

Educational Benefits for Children of Deceased Veterans

Award: $8,500, Deadline: March 30

Applicant must be a Delaware resident between the ages of 16 and 24 who is the child of a deceased military veteran or state police officer who was a Delaware resident, and whose death was service related.

 

Western Sunbathing Association Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and must be a member or the child of a member of the American Association for Nude Recreation, Western Region.

 

MAPA Safety Foundation Scholarship

Applicant must be sponsored by a MAPA member and have a minimum 3.0 GPA (if applicant does not know a MAPA member, the organization will find one to sponsor them). Essay, transcripts, and two letters of recommendation required.

 

James A. Turner, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

Award: $3,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a United States citizen who is at least 18 years old and attending an institution in the United States. Applicant must be planning a career in management of welding store operations or welding distributorship. Employment of at least 10 hours per week at a welding distributor is required.

 

Summer Course Scholarship

Scholarships awarded based on academic merit and financial need, on an individual basis.

 

Kumazo and Yaeko Oda Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: January 5

Applicant must be born in and be a resident of Hawaii (minimum four years of residency are required), have graduated from a high school in the state, and be registered to vote there as well. Minimum 2.0 GPA and financial need required.

 

N. Demos Endowment Scholarship

Applicant must be at least a sophomore, have a minimum CI of 2.70, maintain full-time status, and be a Greek citizen. Selection is based upon the applicant who demonstrates the greatest financial need. Open to both Deree and Junior College students.

Applicant must be at least a junior, excel in the School of Business Administration, and maintain full-time status. Applicant must belong to seaman's family or to a family of which one of the parents works for a shipping company. Open to Deree College applicants only.

Applicant must be an upper-class student who has demonstrated leadership abilities. Preference is given to residents of the town of Bloomfield.

Hiatt Challenger Memorial Scholarship

Ruth Batson Scholarship

Applicant must be a minority student in good academic standing. Preference will be given to students of African-American descent with a proven record of co-curricular involvement and community service.

 

Hypertherm International Hytech Leadership Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 2.8 GPA and plan to major in engineering management.

 

Robert L. Peaslee-Detroit Brazing and Soldering Scholarship

Military Scholarship

Applicant must be an active military or veteran student over the age of 16. Three open-ended, personal, and thought-provoking questions must be answered. Applicants with the most persuasive, compelling, and well-written responses will be considered finalists.

 

Q Link Wireless Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be enrolled or planning to enroll as an undergraduate student at any accredited college or university within the United States. Essay answering the following question must be submitted: Why are government benefit programs (Lifeline Assistance Program, Food Stamps, Medicaid, etc) important resources for helping people with financial difficulties? What can we do to improve the effectiveness of these programs? Minimum 2.5 GPA required. Selection based upon originality, thoughtfulness, and insight. Recipient must provide a copy of their high school or college transcript and a high resolution headshot photograph of themselves.

 

Back to School Nursing Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: January 31; April 30; July 31; October 31

Applicant must be a legal resident of the United States who is at least 18 years of age or older at the time of registration and who plans to enroll in a previously unattended institution in the United States (award not open to residents in Florida, New York, Rhode Island or other states/territories). Applicant must be a nursing student. Response to why the applicant decided to pursue a nursing career is required.
