Presidential Scholarship

Award: $8,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a first-time, domestic, undergraduate degree-seeking student entering the university in the fall. Applicant must have a cumulative 3.5 GPA at the end of their junior year and a minimum composite ACT score of 25 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1130). Applicants are automatically considered for award provided they apply to the university.

 

Travel Scholarship

Award: $1,200, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a full-time, dependent student from the United States or Canada (excluding Minnesota and western Wisconsin).

 

The Reverend Frank E. & Irene Butterworth Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: February 17

Applicant must have been accepted as an entering freshman student with a minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA or transfer student (with minimum 24 college credits) with a 3.0 GPA with the intention to pursue an undergraduate degree. Applicant must be a current member of any organized religion or faith in Hawaii or the Pacific Islands, demonstrate extracurricular involvement in the religion community, and be nominated by the leadership representing the religious organization or congregation.

 

Founders' Scholarship - Helen G. Chapin, Ph.D.

Applicant must be an incoming freshman student, who graduated from a high school in Hawaii with a minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA, and a SAT Reasoning score (math and verbal) of 1100 (ACT equivalent of 24).

 

Antone and Edene Vidinha Trust Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 7

Applicant must be an incoming freshman or community college transfer student from the island of Kauai with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.

Dean's Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a non-resident freshmen student who has a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1150 (minimum composite ACT score of 25) and a GPA between 3.25 and 3.49.

 

Presidential Scholarship

Award: $9,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be an entering non-resident freshman student who has a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1150 (minimum composite ACT score of 25) and minimum 3.75 GPA.

 

Provost's Scholarship

Award: $7,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be an entering non-resident freshman student who has a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1150 (minimum composite ACT score of 25) and a high school GPA between 3.5 and 3.74.

 

Out of State Award

Award: $3,000, Deadline: May 1 (priority)

Applicant must be a United States resident who is living outside of New York State and who visits the college before January 31st of their senior year.

 

Jayhawk Generations Scholarship

Award: $12,154, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be an admitted first-time, non-resident freshman student whose parent, step-parent, legal guardian, grandparent, step-grandparent, or great-grandparent earned a degree at the university. Minimum 3.5 GPA and combined SAT Reasoning score of 1090 (composite ACT score of 24) required.

Applicant must be a non-resident student. Selection is based upon academic achievement.

Applicant must be a full-time student and one of the following: a United States citizen who is a non-Florida resident living in the United States or a United States territory or an eligible non-citizen (permanent resident).

 

ABC Stores Jumpstart Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must be a full- or part-time student who is a resident of Hawaii, Nevada, Guam or Saipan. Applicant must be an employee or dependent of an employee of ABC stores or Company Island Gourmet Markets.

 

Ambassador Minerva Jean Falcon Hawai'i Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must be a graduate of a Hawaii high school, and must attend a two- or four-year college or university in Hawaii. Preference given to Individuals of Filipino ancestry.

 

Booz Allen Hawaii Scholarship Fund

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must be a resident of the state of Hawaii or the dependent of a Military member stationed in Hawaii. Applicant must be planning to attend an accredited four year college or university as an undergraduate student. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Craig D. Newnan Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduate of Lana'i high school. Preference is given to applicants majoring in education, travel industry management, or any other maritime industry related field.

 

Dan & Pauline Lutkenhouse & Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of the Hilo and Hamakua coasts and be majoring in agriculture, medicine, science or nursing.

 

David L. Irons Memorial Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a graduating senior of Punahou school. Personal statements required.

 

Dolly Ching Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from a high school on the island of Kaua'i and planning to attend any school in the University of Hawaii system.

 

Eastside & Northshore Kaua'i Scholarship Fund

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must be a resident of one of the following east and northshore Kaua'i areas: Anahola, Kapa'a, Kilauea, Hanalei, Princeville, Kealia, or Wailua. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Eizo & Toyo Sakumoto Trust Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduate student of Japanese descent born in and attending college in Hawaii. Minimum 3.5 GPA required.

 

Elena Albano Maka'alohilohi Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a resident of Maui county recovering from a mental health, behavioral or psychological disability. Preference given to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry and past recipients.

 

Ellen Hamada Fashion Design Scholarship (VocEd)

Applicant must be pursuing an A.S. or A.A.S. in fashion design within the University of Hawaii Community College system.

 

F. Koehnen Ltd. Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a nursing major of Filipino descent.
