Applicant must be an admitted first-time, non-resident freshman student whose parent, step-parent, legal guardian, grandparent, step-grandparent, or great-grandparent earned a degree at the university. Minimum 3.5 GPA and combined SAT Reasoning score of 1090 (composite ACT score of 24) required.

Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation Scholarship

Applicant must work in the Midwest region of the United States. Award will allow recipient to choose a curriculum of choice from the John T. Riordan School for Professional Development.

 

Wisconsin Region Student Leadership Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, an undergraduate or graduate student in good standing enrolled in at least six semester credits currently enrolled in, or have received a degree from, a college or university within Wisconsin or upper peninsula of Michigan. Applicant must have demonstrated leadership and significant service to their campus community.

 

Michigan Association Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: December 4

Applicant must be a member of the Michigan Occupational Therapy Association who is enrolled in an accredited occupational therapy educational program (one scholarship for professional degree level, one for associates degree level).

 

APIASF/Sara Lee Foundation

Award: $2,500, Deadline: January 13

Applicant must be a female U.S. citizen, national or legal permanent resident of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity (as defined by the U.S. Census) who is from Alabama, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or Wisconsin, and will be enrolling in an accredited college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking, first-year student in the upcoming academic year. Minimum 2.7 cumulative GPA required (or GED).

 

Marvin Johnson Scholarship

Applicant must be a child or spouse of a trucking company employee or an independent contractor affiliated with a trucking company who will attend an accredited four-year college or university in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan or Ohio.

 

Lynda Andrus Memorial Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be enrolled at Eastern Michigan University, actively pursuing a degree in nursing (undergraduate or R.N. to B.S.N.). Applicant must be a non-smoker. Financial need is required.

 

Burt Black Memorial Fund

Applicant must be a student with a disability or chronic health condition at one of the following high schools: Huron High School, Washtenaw Community College, or the University of Michigan.

 

Art Armstrong Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a graduating senior from the Pioneer High School hockey team who has demonstrated sportsmanship on and off the ice, has strong leadership qualities and work habits, and has evidence of personal growth through team involvement.

 

Sara Marie Diepenhorst Memorial Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a graduating senior of a Taylor high school who will attend the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor.

 

Andrea Greiner Memorial Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a graduate of Pioneer High School with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Personal traits of optimism, determination, courage, and a zest for life are required.

 

Cathy Allor Mathematics Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a graduating senior of Huron High School who has attended the high school for at least their junior and senior years. Transcript and minimum of one letter of recommendation required.

 

Josee L. Alvarez Memorial Fund

Applicant must be a graduating senior of Chelsea High School. Transcript and letter of recommendation are required to be submitted.

 

Ann Arbor Ad Club Scholarship Fund

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be planning to become an undergraduate or graduate student who will be attending an accredited two- or four-year school, pursuing a major in advertising, communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related field. Minimum 3.0 GPA, latest transcript, and two references are required.

 

Walter & Florence E. Aupperle Scholarship Fund

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student pursuing German studies (history, language, culture, etc.) at either Eastern Michigan University or the University of Michigan. Minimum 3.0 GPA and financial need are required.

 

Morse B. Barker Memorial Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a permanent resident of Washtenaw County between the ages of 18 and 30 who is planning to attend Cleary University or Washtenaw community College. Applicant must be a non-smoker. Minimum 2.0 GPA and financial need are required.

 

Joseph & Yvonne Dulin Scholarship Fund

Award: $250, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a resident of Washtenaw County who is a graduating senior of any Ypsilanti or Ann Arbor public school with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Applicant must be able to demonstrate volunteer service and commitment to education/educational goals. Priority will be given to disadvantaged students.

 

Starr D. Kohn, Ph.D. PE Memorial Scholarship Fund

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan studying civil engineering. Primary consideration will be given to students focusing on a geotechnical, pavement or pavement-related field of study. Transcript and letter of recommendation required to be submitted.

 

Kenneth W. Kramer, PE Memorial Scholarship Fund

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a student from the Ann Arbor or Plymouth area, including Washtenaw or Western Wayne County, pursuing studies in civil engineering at the undergraduate or graduate level. Applicant must be focusing on geotechnical or pavement studies at a Michigan ABET accredited university. Transcript and letter of recommendation are required to be submitted.

Applicant must be a Huron High School senior on the varsity football team.

 

Beth Moffat Memorial Scholarship Fund

Award: $1,075, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a female student athlete who will be graduating from Hartland High School. Applicant must have earned varsity athletic letters during at least two scholastic years at Hartland and also have a good driving record. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

NAACP Community Leadership Scholarship Fund

Award: $526, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a resident of the Ypsilanti-Willow Run or Ann Arbor areas who has been accepted to an accredited two- or four-year college or university. Applicant must be African-American and have demonstrated community involvement and leadership potential. Minimum 2.5 GPA and financial need are required.
