Entering freshman applicants must have a minimum 3.5 GPA or rank in the top quarter of class and have a minimum composite ACT score of 24. Glenn Whaley Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: January 16

Applicant must be a North Carolina or South Carolina resident and a full-time student, be articulate, have a minimum 3.7 GPA, demonstrate involvement in university outside activities with leadership ability, and have a connection between studies, job plans, and extracurricular activities with future plans well thought out in the field of finance.

 

North Carolina Sheriffs' Association Undergraduate Criminal Justice Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a North Carolina resident. Priority given first to children of a sheriff or deputy sheriff, then to children of any law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty, then to children of any sheriff or deputy sheriff who is deceased or retired, and then to criminal justice majors with high GPAs and financial need. Applicant must submit letter of recommendation from sheriff in his or her county of residence, transcript, and documentation of criteria.

 

Dean Reep Scholarship

Applicant must be a North Carolina resident who is planning a career in crime prevention, have high moral character and a minimum 3.4 GPA, and be a full-time senior who is graduating in May or graduate student. Applicant must submit transcript, two letters of reference from people who can attest to applicant's high moral character, and personal statement of goals.

 

James S. McCormack Rotary Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and North Carolina resident, be a degree-seeking full- or part-time student, qualify for FAFSA, be enrolled for fall semester, and have demonstrated potential for academic success.

 

General Nonresident Scholarship

Applicant must be a nonresident, demonstrate high academic achievement, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be a first degree-seeking student enrolled full time (minimum 12 credit hours per semester). Incoming freshman applicant must rank in top 3% of secondary school class. Sophomore, junior, and senior applicants must be current or previous recipients of award. Recipients must complete a minimum of 40 hours of Arizona community service off campus at a nonprofit agency during year of award.

 

Marie Shea Memorial Scholarship

Alumni Legacy Scholarship

Applicant must be the child of a parent who has a degree from U of Arkansas, Fayetteville and is a current member of the Arkansas Alumni Association. Applicant must be a nonresident of Arkansas and have a minimum 3.0 GPA and a composite ACT score of 24-36 (combined SAT I score of 1110-1600). Applicant must submit Arkansas Alumni Legacy Data Form and apply for and be accepted for admission.

 

Legacy Tuition Reduction Grant

Applicant must be a nonresident and the child of a parent with a degree from U of Arkansas, Fayetteville and who is a current member of the Arkansas Alumni Association. Applicant must submit Arkansas Alumni Legacy Data Form and apply for and be accepted for admission.

Applicant must be an entering freshman student who is not a resident of Michigan. Applicant must meet Oakland admission criteria and live in university housing for two years.
