Applicant must be the child or stepchild of a Kent State University graduate and be an out-of-state resident.

 

Global Tiger Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: August 1

Applicant must be a non-resident International undergraduate student, with high GPA and ACT scores, 575 or above for TOEFL score. Selection is based upon leadership potentials, two letters of recommendation from a teacher of school master requested.

 

Crowder Scholarship

Award: $6,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicants parents must work for general contracting companies who are members of ACG and head-quartered in Mecklenburg County, N.C.

 

North Carolina League for Nursing Scholarship

Award: $6,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a legal resident of North Carolina and have completed a minimum of six semester hours of course work in their graduate program of study.

 

Rotary Scholarship

Award: $6,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a graduate of CPCC who plan a four-year degree at a senior college located in Mecklenburg County, N.C.

 

Spirit Square Center for Arts and Education Scholarship

Award: $6,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a resident of Mecklenburg or surrounding counties.

 

National Scholars Award

Applicant must be a non-resident or international student with a minimum admissions index score of 129.

 

Blue & Gold Level 2 Scholarship

Honors College National Scholarship

Merit Recognition Scholarship

Applicant must have out-of-state residency status who is a National Merit Scholar and has listed Michigan State University as a first choice with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

 

University Scholars Award

Award: $8,000, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be a domestic non-resident student who is not invited to the Honors College. Minimum 3.5 GPA and minimum composite ACT test score of 24 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1100) required.

 

Youth Concerto Competition

Award: $500, Deadline: April 26

Applicant must be a North Carolina resident or a full-time student at a North Carolina school. Awards are in two divisions, for ages 10 to 15 and ages 16 to 21. Audition required.

 

Chancellor's Merit Award

Award: -, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be able to fall into one of these categories: (a) a non-Indiana resident, ranking in the top quarter of their class, with a minimum 1650 composite SAT (composite ACT score of 24 with writing), or or have earned a SAT score of 1800 (27 ACT with writing); (b) a transfer student from another regionally accredited college or university with a minimum of 24 credits and a cumulative GPA of 3.0; (c) a transfer student from another regionally accredited college or university having completed 24 credit hours or more at more than one college with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above at each institution attended. Transfer students with fewer than 24 credits completed will be evaluated on their high school record and test scores. International students who are beginning at the university must have scored a minimum 600 on the TOEFL if the test was paper-based or a minimum of 87 if the TOEFL was Internet-based. International students must ask the Office of International Education to recommend them for scholarship consideration.

 

Opportunity Grant

Applicant must be a non-Wisconsin resident entering in the fall semester. FAFSA required.

 

Incentive Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a student who resides outside of Indiana and have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.

 

Off To College Scholarship Sweepstakes

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 12

Applicant must be a high school senior planning to attend college or a current college student who will be continuing their undergraduate studies this fall. Applicant must live in one of the following states: Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, or the District of Columbia.

 

ASHRAE Region IV Benny Bootle Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a full-time, undergraduate, engineering or architecture student in an ABET or NAAB accredited program.

 

Out of State Reduced Tuition Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA or rank in the top fifth of his/her class, and must have a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1100 (composite ACT score of 24). Transfer applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Eddie Godwin III Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduate of New Hanover High School. Selection based upon academic performance and financial need.

 

J.K. Horne Family Merit Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be an incoming freshman student proven academic ability, student activities and potential for leadership who has completed high school in North Carolina.

 

Wilmington East Rotary Club Scholarship

Award: $1,800, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be an incoming freshman student who has graduated from an accredited high school in Hanover or New Hanover Counties.

 

Hughes Brothers Inc. Scholarship

Applicant must be an incoming freshman student who has graduated from an accredited North Carolina high school and who has demonstrated interest in majoring in on of the programs offered by the Cameron School of Business.

 

BB&T Endowed Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be a resident of District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, or West Virginia.

 

Hill-Fulp Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of North Carolina majoring in graphic design with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Mauldin Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a minority, majoring in fashion, film and television, sound design, performing arts, production design or advertising design. Applicant must be a resident of Georgia or North Carolina and demonstrate financial need.

 

Wachovia Scholars

Award: $2,500, Deadline: April 30

Awarded to undergraduate or graduate students based on academic standing and financial need. Applicant must be from the Wachovia service area.

 

Regional Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a full-time, matriculated freshmen who is a graduate from a high school outside of New York State.

 

Cook Scholarship

Award: $7,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must reside in a state other than New York and must graduate from a private or parochial school. Applicant must have a minimum "85" average and a minimum combined SAT I score of 1000.
