Preference is given (in descending order) to residents of Saluda County, Lexington County, Edgefield County, or Newberry County, S.C. Selection is based upon standardized test scores, personal background, extracurricular and community activities, and work experience.

 

Big Thursday Golf Tournament Inc. Annual Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Richland County, a graduate of a Richland County public high school, and have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.

 

James Roy Carter Jr. Endowed Presidential Scholarship

Applicant must be a South Carolina resident. Preference is given to residents of Chester, Lancaster, or York counties.

 

Thomas A. Folger Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Pickens County, S.C. and have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.

Gary Higgins Singleton Scholarship

Applicant must be a woman, have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA, demonstrate financial need, plan to teach for at least two years after graduation, and be a resident of Anderson, Oconee, or Pickens counties, S.C.

 

George E. and Leila Giles Singleton Scholarship

Award: $1,100, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a South Carolina resident, have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA, and demonstrate financial need.

 

Charles E. Springs Annual Forestry Scholarship

Award: $1,250, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a South Carolina resident from a designated rural area as defined by the Farmers' Home Administration, have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA, and demonstrate financial need.

 

Thomas Benton Young Sr. Memorial Annual Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Clarendon, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Lee, Marion, Marlboro, Sumter, or Williamsburg County, S.C. and have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.

 

L. Phil Wicker Scholarship

Applicant must have at least a general class radio license and be attending school in the ARRL Roanoke Division (North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia). Preference is given to residents of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.

 

Scholarship for New Nebraskans

Applicant must not be a resident of Nebraska.

 

National Scholars Program

Award: $13,900, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must not be a resident of Michigan or Ohio.

 

Mark Twain Nonresident Scholarship

Award: $5,500, Deadline: August 15

Applicant must rank in top 50% of graduating high school class, have a minimum composite ACT score of 27 (combined SAT I score of 1210), and be a resident of any state except Missouri.

 

Life Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a South Carolina resident with strong academics and two of the following: a minimum 3.0 GPA; minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1100 (composite ACT score of 23); and/or have graduated in the top third of their secondary school class.

 

Out-of-State Collegiate Scholar

Award: $3,500, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be an out-of-state first-time freshman student with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and a minimum composite ACT score between 28 and 29 (combined SAT Reasoning score between 1250-1320).

 

Out-of-State Presidential Scholar

Award: -, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be an out-of-state first-time freshman student with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and minimum composite ACT score between 32 and 36 (combined SAT Reasoning score between 1400 and 1600).

 

Out-of-State Capstone Scholar

Award: $1,500, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be an out-of-state first-time freshman student with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and a minimum composite ACT score of 27 (combined SAT Reasoning score between 1210 and 1240).

 

Raymond L. Boozer Endowed Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Lexington County, S.C. and have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.

 

James R. Burrows Annual Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Clarendon, Lee, Sumter, or Williamsburg counties, S.C., and must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Preference is given to student in Coll of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences (excluding medical technology, pre-pharmacy, pre-physical therapy).
