DPMA/pc Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 31

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from any high school in the Oregon or Clark County, Washington area who is looking to enroll in a major directly related to the Information Technology industry (i.e. CS, CIS) at any accredited institution in the states of Oregon or Washington. Selection is based upon academic performance, information technology-related career goals, counselor/instructor recommendations, financial need, previous experience/interest in information technology, and completeness, neatness, and presentation of application.

 

Susan Burdett Scholarship

Applicant must be a Washington resident and a former citizen of Evergreen Girls State.

 

Florence Lemke Memorial Scholarship in Fine Arts

Award: $300, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Washington resident who a senior in high school and is the child, grandchild, or great grandchild of a veteran.

 

Marguerite Mc'Alpin Memorial Scholarship

Award: $300, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Washington resident who is the child, grandchild or great grandchild of a veteran or have served in the Armed Forces themselves.

 

Alert Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: n/a

Applicant must write an essay (650-800 words) about a personal encounter they or someone they know has had with drug and/or alcohol abuse, how it was dealt with, and, in their opinion, what was right or wrong about the way the incident or problem was handled. Criteria for the winning essay are the same as an essay written for a high school English class, ie: thought content, thesis statement, supporting argument, grammar, punctuation, etc. There is no deadline, essays must be submitted for consideration before graduation from senior year.

 

Out of State Reduced Tuition Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA or rank in the top fifth of his/her class, and must have a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1100 (composite ACT score of 24). Transfer applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Regional Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a full-time, matriculated freshmen who is a graduate from a high school outside of New York State.

 

Cook Scholarship

Award: $7,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must reside in a state other than New York and must graduate from a private or parochial school. Applicant must have a minimum "85" average and a minimum combined SAT I score of 1000.

 

Western Region Grant

Award: $3,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a resident of Louisiana, Minnesota, or any state west of the Mississippi River.

 

Bounder Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: None

Applicant must llive west of the Mississippi River or in the Deep South.

 

Scholar Recognition Award for Out-of-Sate Students

Selection is based upon superior academic achievement.

 

President's Out of State Scholar Award

Award: $3,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be an incoming non-New York state resident admitted as an undergraduate freshman in Group I or Group II of the SUNY admissions matrix. Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student, maintain residence outside of New York state, and live in a university residence hall. The Director of Admissions will choose the award recipients based on their admissions application, SAT scores, and high school grades.

 

President's International Scholar Award

Award: $3,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student, maintain a residence outside of New York and international student status, maintain normal academic progress, live in a university residence hall, and maintain a 3.0 GPA. The Director of International Education will choose the award recipients based on their admissions application and transcript.

 

Akron Advantage Blue Award

Award: $5,900, Deadline: None

Applicant must be an out-of-state student. Minimum 3.0 GPA and minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1000 (composite ACT score of 21) required.

 

Akron Advantage Gold Award

Award: $9,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be an out-of-state resident who is a first-time, full-time freshman or transfer student who meets two of the following criteria: minimum 3.5 GPA (3.25 transfer GPA); rank in top 10% of secondary school class; or minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1200 (composite ACT score of 27).

 

Out-of-State Resident Grant

Applicant must demonstrate residency in a state other than Illinois and live on campus during the academic year; parents may not be residents of Illinois.

Applicant must have an Eligibility Index of 92 or higher.

 

George T. Welch Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: March 1 (CSS Deadline); April 1 (Scholarship Deadline)

Applicant must be a graduate of Walla Walla County High School with an intent on being a full-time student at an accredited college or university. Selection is based upon financial need.

 

International Student Scholarship

Award: $100, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a Hispanic student considered a non-resident of Arizona who has completed 12 or more College credits, with at least nine units in ESL. A 350- to 500-word letter stating reasons for deserving scholarship is required.

 

Kitsap County High School Senior Merit Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a student enrolled full-time with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Essay, six to 10 slides (including at least three drawings), transcripts, letters of recommendation, and letter of acceptance are all required to be submitted.

 

Success Scholarship

Award: $3,100, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must not be a resident of Michigan. Minimum 3.2 GPA required.

 

Academic Community Enrichment Scholarship (ACE)

Award: $7,500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be an out-of-state United States resident who satisfies at least two of the following criteria: ranks at least in the top 10% of their high school class; is a member of the National Honor Society; or has a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better. Applicants who do not meet that criteria, but possess significant leadership and involvement may also be considered.

 

Non-Resident Transfer Leadership Scholarship

Applicant must be a transfer student with a minimum 3.0 GPA who is not a resident of Utah, and has outstanding leadership abilities, activities, and achievements.

 

Non-Resident Transfer Diversity Scholarship

Applicant must be a transfer student who is not a resident of Utah. Application, recommendation, and online essay in which applicant illustrates their geographic, ethnic and/or cultural background, and how it will contribute to an educationally diverse experience for students at the University, are required to be submitted.

 

Non-Resident Merit Scholarship

Applicant must be an entering freshman who is not a resident of Utah, and is a National Merit Finalist.

 

Alumni Association Non-Resident Scholarship for Incoming Freshmen

Award: $5,800, Deadline: February 28

Applicant must be a current high school senior who is not a resident of Utah, but who's parent or grandparent is an University of Utah graduate. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA and have been actively involved in service to their high school and/or community. Official transcript, a one-page essay, and letter of recommendation are required to be submitted.

 

Academic Excellence Level 2 Scholarship
