Vermont Police Association: Herbert Fullam Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a dependent of a police officer who is an active member of the Vermont Police Association and plan to attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Vermont State Grange Agricultural Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont pursuing a degree in agriculture at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need and academic achievement must be demonstrated.

 

VSAC Board of Directors Scholarship (Joan Goodrich)

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Bennington or Rutland County in Vermont who will pursue a degree in the visual or performing arts at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Junior League of Champlain Valley Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Addison, Chittenden, Franklin, Grand Isle, or Lamoille County, VT who is a single parent of at least one minor child and will attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need and a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA required.

 

John and Ruth Maciag Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Rutland County, VT who will pursue education or training in architecture, architectural engineering, computer graphics and animation, fine arts, interior design, studio art, or a related field. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Charlotte-Shelburne Rotary Club Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Charlotte, Hinesburg, or Shelburne, VT who will attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Community involvement/service must be demonstrated.

Senator James M. Jeffords Endowed Scholarship to Honor Marion Hausman Jeffords

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a graduating senior who will pursue a degree in the arts at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Bernice Barnard Music Specialist Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: Varies

Applicant must be from the city of Ojai or Ventura. Applicant must submit three letters of recommendations, with two addressing applicant's musical qualifications.

 

Vicky Howard Community Service Award

Award: $500, Deadline: Varies

Applicant must be a resident of Ventura County, CA, and show high dedication to community service with a lot of volunteer activities. Graduating high school senior from the cities of Simi Valley or Moorpark.

 

Ventura County Agriculture Scholarship

Award: $600, Deadline: January 29

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need, be the child of an agriculture worker, and a resident of Ventura County, CA.

 

Jean Andrews Nursing Scholarship

Award: $1,200, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Addison County in Vermont who will pursue a degree in registered nursing or nursing education at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Burlington Business and Professional Women's Organization Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Addison, Chittenden, Franklin, Grand Isle, or Lamoille county, VT who is the head of a single-parent family and will attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Champlain Valley Street Rodders Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must a graduating senior from a Vermont high school who will pursue a degree in a field related to automotive technology at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Richard T. Gates Engineering and Technology Endowed Challenge Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who was born in Vermont, currently attending a Windham County high school or Springfield High School, and will pursue a bachelor of science degree in engineering or technology at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Dr. Marc Hull Special Education Leadership Scholarship

Award: $1,250, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont pursuing a certificate or license in special education administration at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required.

 

Jericho-Underhill Lions Club Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Bolton, Bolton Valley, Huntington, Jericho, Richmond, or Underhill, VT who will attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement, financial need, and community service must be demonstrated.

 

Helen J. Switzer Nursing Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Windham County, VT who will enroll in a nursing program (LPN, AS, RN, BSN) at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Vermont Mentoring Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who is or has been a mentee in a recognized Mobius mentoring program for a minimum of two consecutive years (excluding e-mentoring). Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

E. Dante Bogni Scholarship

Award: $15,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Montpelier or Spaulding High School in Vermont who has shown commitment to the well-being and care of the elderly.

 

Chen Foundation Scholarship Program

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 29

Applicant must be a high school senior who resides in California and who is planning to attend a California state university or California Community College as a first-year student this coming fall. Minimum 3.0 GPA and household income at or below California State Low Income Level are required.

 

Charlie Heming Educational Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: May 15

Applicant or parent of applicant must be a member of NTA for at least three years.

 

DPMA/pc Annual Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 31

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from Oregon or Washington state who is attending an Oregon or Washington state university or college with a major in an information technology-related curriculum. Selection based upon academic performance, information technology-related career goals, recommendations, previous experience/interest in information technology, and financial need.

 

Parker M. and Virginia Howell Scholarship

Award: $800, Deadline: January 29

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, major in engineering or writing, and be graduating from a high school in San Buenaventura, CA, or attending Ventura Community College.

 

Terry Albee Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont residing in one of the following towns: Charleston, Coventry, Derby, Holland, Jay, Lowell, Morgan, Newport City, Newport Town, Troy, or Westfield. Applicant must pursue a degree in communications or the performing arts at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Essay, recommendation letter and financial need required.

 

David A. Hicks Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a graduate of Mount Anthony Union or West Rutland High School who will pursue a bachelor's degree at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need must be demonstrated.

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who is blind or visually impaired, or the child of someone who is blind or visually impaired, or pursuing a career in the education or rehabilitation of blind or visually impaired people.
