Applicant must be a resident of Indiana, demonstrate academic achievement and financial need. Recommendations required, preference is give to applicants from Johnson County, Indiana.

 

APS Scholarship for Minority Undergraduate Physics Majors

Award: $3,000, Deadline: First Friday in February

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who is African-American, Hispanic American, or Native American. Applicant must be a high school senior, college freshman, or college sophomore who is majoring or planning to major in physics. Minimum award amount is granted to new applicants; maximum award amount for recipients looking to renew their award.

 

Len Assante Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student who is entering a field of study that serves, supports, or promotes the groundwater industry.

 

Youth Scholarship Program

Award: $7,500, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior who will receive a diploma from an accredited high school, located within the state where they will apply. Applicant must have a father, mother, or natural guardian who meets the following qualifications: is a full-time active employee in the state where the applicant applies, is a full-time paid member of the police or sheriff's department or fire department, or is a full-time public safety officer. Selection is abased upon academic achievement, national test scores, extracurricular participation, and an essay.

 

William Webb Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be pursuing a major in naval architecture, marine engineering, ocean engineering, mechanical engineering, or systems engineering. Minimum 3.2 GPA and minimum SAT critical reading score of 590, math score of 690, and writing score of 600 (composite ACT score of 30) required.

 

Trinity College of Vermont Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont pursuing a degree in social work or education at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need, community involvement/service and a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required.

 

Ashby B. Carter Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be the child or legal dependent of a NAPFE member.

Applicant must be a resident of Windham County, VT or Reasboro or Searsburg, VT. Financial need and school/community involvement must be demonstrated.

Applicant must be a Texas resident attending a Texas school who is 25 years old or younger. Financial need must be demonstrated and interview is required.

 

Upakar Foundation Indian American Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 30

Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident who was born in or has a parent born in the Republic of India. Applicant must be a graduating high school senior in the United States who is actively seeking enrollment in a four-year college or university. Minimum cumulative 3.6 GPA and 2013 Family Adjusted Gross Income on the IRS form 1040, 1040EZ or 1040A of less than $75,000 required.

 

Vermont State Grange Cobble Hill Grange Scholarship (Education)

Award: $500, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont pursuing a degree in education at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Michael and Deborah Weinberg Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont whose parent(s) volunteered with a Vermont rescue squad and/or fire department for a minimum of five years and will attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who will pursue a degree in a field related to agriculture at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding.

 

California Wine Grap Growers Foundation Scholarship

Applicant must be a high school senior whose parents or legal guardians are vineyard employees of California winegrape growers. Selection based upon financial need, scholastic ability, community involvement/leadership, and 500 word essay.

 

Ted Kenney-George Vest Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be the child of a member of the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters or an affiliated local union who will pursue post-secondary education.

 

Students with Disabilities Endowed Scholarship Honoring Elizabeth Daley Jeffords

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont with a documented disability (school 504 of IEP Plan) who will attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need must be demonstrated.

Kittredge Coddington Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who will pursue a degree in business or a related field at an accredited school in Vermont approved for federal Title IV funding.

 

Vermont DAR Good Citizenship Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont pursuing a degree in the social sciences at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

LTG C.R. Huebner Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a high school senior who is the child or grandchild of a soldier who served in the First Infantry Division of the U.S. Army. Selection is based upon scholastic achievements, career objectives, essay, and recommendation.

 

Applegate/Jackson/Parks Future Teacher Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 31

Applicant must be attending an institution of higher learning in the United States. Official transcript of grades from an accredited institution of higher learning in the United States and a 500-word essay on compulsory unionism in education, are required to be submitted. Essays written on subjects unrelated to compulsory unionism in education will not be considered.

 

William B. Ruggles Journalism Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: December 31

Applicants limited to journalism or related majors who are enrolled in accredited institutions of higher learning throughout the United States. Official transcript demonstrating potential for successful completion of the educational requirements in an accredited journalism program and 500-word essay demonstrating an understanding of the principles of voluntary unionism and the economic and social problems of compulsory unionism are required.

 

Presidential Transfer Scholarship

Award: $17,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must have attained an associate's degree prior to attending Cazenovia College. All qualified transfer students are automatically considered for this program once they have applied for admission.

 

The SAPA Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 30

Applicant must be a high school senior who is planning to attend a full-time undergraduate program at an accredited four-year college/university with a major related to life sciences. Applicant must have a minimum 3.3 GPA, a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 2000, and be in the top tenth (or top quarter) of their class. Essay, two letters of recommendation, list of all awards received, list of Advanced Placement or Honors courses with grades, and transcripts are required to be submitted.
