Lifchez/Stronach Curatorial Internship

Award: $21,000, Deadline: January 29

Applicant must want to continue a career in art history and should have a background of financial need or other disadvantage that might jeopardize his or her pursuing a career without the internship. Resume, two academic recommendations, transcripts, list of art history or other relevant courses taken, list of foreign languages known, and an essay are required to be submitted. Award is for work on projects appropriate to academic background, skills, and career goals.

 

Mathilda Gallmeyer Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must have a minimum 2.75 GPA, and have lived in Kent County, Mich. for at least five years. Applicant must have received artistic awards or recognition, and demonstrate artistic talent. Selection is based upon academic achievement, extracurricular activities, personal statement, and financial need.

 

Professional Development Fellowship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: Fall

Applicant must be a current member of the College Art Association who will be receiving their M.F.A. or Ph.D. degree in the calendar year following the year of application. Applicant must be a promising artist or art historian.

 

L.W. Frohlich Award

Applicant must be a conservator, art historian, or scientist at an advanced level in his or her training and should be able to demonstrate commitment to the physical examination and treatment of art objects.

 

Lois McNeil Dissertation Fellowship

NEH Fellowship

Frances Weitzenhoffer Memorial Fellowship in Art History

Kress Interpretive Fellowship

Applicant must be an indivual who has completed a B.A. degree in art history, studio art or museum studies and who are pursuing graduate study in these fields or a related field, or who have completed an M.A. degree in one of these fields. Application must be made by the museum at which the fellowship will be based. CD containing a complete set of the application materials as a single PDF is strongly encouraged to be included with printed materials. Award is for a museum-based curatorial fellowship in European art from antiquity through early nineteenth century.

 

ACLS/New York Public Library Fellowship

Applicant must identify specific resources and benefits to be gained from affiliation with the Center for Scholars and Writers. Applicant must be selected by both ACLS Committee and the New York Public Library. Applications must be submitted through the ACLS Online Fellowship Application system (OFA).
