Huntington Fellowships

Award: $12,500, Deadline: November 15

Applicant must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent or be a doctoral candidate at dissertation stage. Selection is based upon the value of the project, the ability of the applicant, and the degree to which special strengths of the library will be utilized. Recipients are expected to be in residence throughout their tenure.

 

Hench Post-Dissertation Fellowship

Award: $35,000, Deadline: October 15

Applicant must be a scholar who is no more than three years beyond receipt of their doctorate. Award is a year-long residential fellowship at the American Antiquarian Society to revise their dissertation for publication.

 

Winterthur Program in Early American Culture

Award: -, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a college graduate and should demonstrate interest or have experience in museum/historical agency work. Selection is based upon GRE scores, transcripts, letters of recommendation, and writing sample. Fellowship is offered as part of U of Delaware's M.A. program in early American Culture.

 

Lois McNeil Dissertation Fellowship

Applicant must be a doctoral candidate researching for dissertation. Award is a residential research fellowship in Winterthur's library and museum collections.

 

Winterthur Research Fellowship

Applicant must be an academic, museum, or independent scholar or be working on doctoral dissertation. Award is a residential research fellowship in Winterthur's library and museum collections.

 

NEH Fellowship

Award: $30,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be an academic, museum, or independent scholar, and be a U.S. citizen or have been a U.S. resident for at least three years. Award is not for dissertation research. Award is a residential research fellowship in Winterthur's library and museum collections.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

Signet Classics Student Scholarship Essay Contest

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 14

Applicant must be a United States high school junior or senior student. Essay on the book Beowulf is required.
