Internship for College Students

Award: $3,250, Deadline: January 1 (contact office)

Applicant must have a broad background in art history. Resume, two academic recommendations, transcripts, list of art history or other relevant courses taken, list of foreign languages known, and essay are required to be submitted. Award is to work on departmental projects, give gallery talks, and work at the Visitor Information Center for ten weeks.

 

Internship for Graduate Students

Roswell L. Gilpatrick Internship

Six-Month Internship

Award: $11,000, Deadline: January (contact office)

Applicant must submit a resume, two academic recommendations, transcripts, list of art history or other relevant courses taken, list of foreign languages known, and an essay. Award is for work on projects matching recipient's academic background, skills, and career goals. This internship is designed to promote diversity in the future pool of museum professionals.

 

Lifchez/Stronach Curatorial Internship

Award: $21,000, Deadline: January 29

Applicant must want to continue a career in art history and should have a background of financial need or other disadvantage that might jeopardize his or her pursuing a career without the internship. Resume, two academic recommendations, transcripts, list of art history or other relevant courses taken, list of foreign languages known, and an essay are required to be submitted. Award is for work on projects appropriate to academic background, skills, and career goals.

 

Mathilda Gallmeyer Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must have a minimum 2.75 GPA, and have lived in Kent County, Mich. for at least five years. Applicant must have received artistic awards or recognition, and demonstrate artistic talent. Selection is based upon academic achievement, extracurricular activities, personal statement, and financial need.

 

Grand Rapids Combined Theatre Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must demonstrate ability, talent, and dedication to the theatre arts, be pursuing an education in theatre arts, and have worked in the Grand Rapids, Mich.. area community theatre. Preference is given to theatre arts majors. Selection is based upon academic achievement, extracurricular activities, personal statement, and financial need.

Applicant must receive a superior rating. If the superior rating is achieved at the district level, an audition is required.

National With Honors Fine Arts Merit Scholarship

Doc Tate Nevaquaya Scholarship

Arts Alumni Entrance Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 1 (Priority)

Applicant must be entering the Honors Arts Regular or Applied Studies Co-op programs in the Faculty of Arts. Award is in Canadian dollars.

 

Rector's Scholarship

Award: $7,500, Deadline: March 14

Applicant must be a bilingual Canadian citizen or permanent resident, with a minimum 92 admission average including six OACs or equivalent, and must meet extracurricular or community excellence criteria. Award is in Canadian dollars.

 

Iowa Arts Council Scholarship for the Arts

Award: $1,500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be an Iowa resident who will graduate from an Iowa high school and who has been accepted as a full-time undergraduate student at a fully-accredited Iowa college or university with a major in at least one of the following arts areas: dance, literature, music, theatre, folk/traditional arts, or visual arts.

 

Brian Hendley Entrance Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1 (Priority)

Award is in Canadian dollars.

 

NALE Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 15 (fall); September 15 (spring); March 15 (summer)

Applicant must be at least one-quarter Native American and be an enrolled member of a U. S. tribe that is federally recognized, or terminated, with high GPA and test scores, and be enrolled in an accredited college or university.

 

College of Fine Arts Departmental Scholarship

Hope (General) Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Maryland resident, apply as a high school senior, have and maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA, enroll in an eligible program at a Maryland college or university, and have a combined annual family income of less than $95,000.

 

Polaire Weissman Fund

Award: $20,000, Deadline: November 3

Applicant needs to present a typed application, full resume, statement (not to exceed 1,000 words), and three letters of recommendation.

 

Sherman Fairchild Foundation Conservation Fellowship

Award: $22,500, Deadline: December 2

Applicant must be a qualified candidate from the United States and abroad who have already reached an advanced level of training or experience.

 

Martin J. Svaglic Award

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 25

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1180 (composite ACT score of 26). Applicant must be admitted to Loyola prior to February 25.

 

Fine Arts General Scholarship

Applicant must be enrolled at the University of Missouri at Columbia.

 

Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship

Art Scholarship Graduate Level

Applicant must be an Alberta resident and be enrolled full time in a graduate program studying drama, dance, literary art, music, or the visual arts.

 

American Graduate Fellowships

Award: $50,000, Deadline: October 17

Applicants must be graduating seniors or recent graduates of an eligible undergraduate institution. Applicants must intend to enter a doctoral program in one of the eligible fields of study during the subsequent academic year. Applicants must be citizens of the United States.

 

Florence Lemke Memorial Scholarship in Fine Arts

Applicant must be a Washington resident who a senior in high school and is the child, grandchild, or great grandchild of a veteran.

 

Division of Creative Arts and Technology Scholarship
