Bulloch County Hospital Authority Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be an incoming freshman student from Bulloch County with a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1200 (minimum composite ACT score of 27). Applicant must be majoring in a health profession.

 

Cora Aguda Manayan Fund

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must be majoring in a health-related field and be of Filipino ancestry. Preference may be given to applicants studying in Hawaii.

 

Dr. Hans and Clara Zimmerman Foundation Health Scholarships

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must be a college junior, senior, or graduate student majoring in a health-related field (excluding sports medicine, psychology unless clinical, or social work) at a college or university in the U.S. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Ida M. Pope Memorial Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must be a female of Hawaiian ancestry pursuing a major in education, health, or science (including counseling and social work). Minimum 3.5 GPA required.

 

APIASF/United Health Foundation

Award: $2,500, Deadline: January 13

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, national or legal permanent resident of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity (as defined by the U.S. Census) who will plan to pursue a degree that will lead to a career in the health field, with intent to work in an under-served community. Applicant must be enrolling in an accredited college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking, first-year student in the upcoming academic year. Preference for students fluent in an Asian or Pacific Islander language, or who reside in or attend college in Texas, Illinois, California, New York, or New Jersey. Minimum 2.7 GPA required.

 

Berwick Health and Wellness Fund Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 14

Applicant must be a high school senior residing within the 23 townships and boroughs of the greater Berwick area who plans to enroll in a health-related field at a two- or four-year institution of higher education.

 

Berwick Health and Wellness Fund - Non-Traditional

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 14

Applicant must be 23 years of age or older residing within the 23 townships and boroughs of the greater Berwick area who plans to enroll in a health-related field at a two- or four-year institution of higher education.

 

Iber Health Education Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a resident of Portage County who is current enrolled in a graduate level, health-related studies program at an accredited school. Undergraduate seniors accepted to an accredited graduate school for health-related studies may also apply.

 

The Edith M. Allen Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 5

Applicant must be an African-American college student pursuing a degree in education, social work, medicine, or other health professions. Must be enrolled at a United Methodist college/university with at least B+ average and be an active member of the United Methodist Church for at least three years.

 

Critical Care Scholarship Program

Award: $2,500, Deadline: April 30

Applicants must be California residents pursuing a degree in healthcare/nursing. Students are required to submit an essay on the designated topic found on the website. After applicants are narrowed down, the essays will then need to be shared on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or other social networking page and receive votes. Contest runs quarterly.

 

AvaCare Mdical Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 15

Applicants must be at least 13 years of age, have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be a U.S. citizen. Students must be studying or planning on studying a medicine related field. Students must be at least a high school senior. AvaCare Medical offers an annual scholarship for an inspiring act of kindness. Selection is based on judge scores as well as public votes. Submission may be in the form of a blog post, an image or a short video clip. Finalists are selected based on content, creativity and quality of work.

 

Medical Scrubs Collection

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 15

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or registered aliens. Students must be high school seniors or currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution. Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 and intend to pursue a degree in a medical field.
