Garden Club of Bala Cynwyd Scholarship

Selection is based upon academic performance and financial need. Preference is given to applicant from the Bala Cynwyd Garden Club area.

 

Lou Henry Hoover Girl Scout Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must demonstrate involvement in the Girl Scout Movement. Selection is based upon financial need.

 

Horticulture/Landscape Architecture Alumni Scholarship

Award: $750, Deadline: March 1

Selection is based upon academic achievement, financial need, and volunteer service at the Ambler gardens and greenhouse.

Peter G. Schlotterer Ecological Restoration Scholarship

Applicant must come from southeastern Pennsylvania or the surrounding area and must plan on a career in environmental preservation or landscaper restoration. Selection is based upon academic achievement and financial need.

 

Leonora Friesleben Vaughn Scholarship

Woman's National Farm and Garden Association Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must demonstrate academic achievement and financial need.

 

Woman's National Farm and Garden Association Scholarship - New Jersey

Raymond F. Cain Scholarship Fund

Applicant must major or concentrate in a field related to landscape architecture, demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Hawaii. Minimum 2.7 GPA required.

 

Whitley Place Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a graduating senior of a high school in Prosper Independent School District who has applied to and plans to attend an accredited college or university. Applicant must plan to pursue studies in the area of civil engineering, construction science, construction management, architecture, landscape architecture, planning, public administration, mechanical engineering or other math/science related fields.

 

Trowel and Error Garden Club Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a Blackford County resident who plans to pursue a post secondary education in horticulture or landscape design.

 

Homer and Mildred Crank Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 16

Applicant must be a graduate of Columbus East, Columbus North or Hauser High School who will pursue post-secondary studies in environmental management, forestry, horticulture, landscape design, or plant science.

 

Thornapple Garden Club "Walk Gently on this Good Earth" Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a resident of Barry County who will pursue a two- or four-year degree in agricultural science, conservation, floriculture, horticulture, landscape design, or a related field. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

American Society of Landscape Architects Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be attending a post-secondary institution in Oklahoma pursuing a degree or certificate in architecture or landscape design. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Karen Ann Shopis-Fox Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 15

Applicants must be Connecticut residents and be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary landscape architecture or environmental education program. Both undergraduate and graduate students may apply.

 

Mabel Mayforth Scholarship

Applicants must be Vermont residents who are college juniors, seniors or graduate students and must major horticulture, landscape, design, conservation, forestry, agronomy, plant pathology or biology with a special interest in plants, ecology and allied subjects. They must be full-time students at an accredited institution with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Previous winners may reapply.

 

Garden Club of Ohio Inc. Scholarships

Applicants must be residents of Ohio and must be enrolled in a postsecondary degree program related to environmental science, plant science, horticulture, floriculture, city planning or wildlife. They must be rising undergraduate juniors, undergraduate seniors or graduate students and have a GPA of 3.25 or higher. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Southwest Park and Recreation Training Institute Student Scholarships

Award: $1,000, Deadline: Open

Applicants must be graduate students or undergraduate sophomores, juniors or seniors. They must be majoring in recreation, recreation administration, park administration, landscape architecture or a related subject and have a GPA of 2.0 or higher on a four-point scale. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Landscape Forms Design for People Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students who are enrolled in a landscape architecture degree program at a school that has been accredited by the Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board (LAAB). They must be in the final year of their degree program. Selection is based on academic merit and creativity.

 

Rain Bird Intelligent Use of Water Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicants must be college juniors or fourth- or fifth-year seniors who are landscape architecture, horticulture or irrigation science students who have a demonstrated commitment to the landscape architecture profession and exhibit financial need. Applications can only be sent by email.

 

ASLA Council of Fellows Scholarships

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. They must be in the third, fourth or fifth year of a Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board (LAAB)-accredited undergraduate degree program in landscape architecture. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Steven G. King Play Environments Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicants must be landscape architecture graduate students or upperclass undergraduate students. They must be enrolled at a college or university that has been accredited by the Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board (LAAB). They must have a demonstrated interest in designing play environments. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.
