Applicant must be an incoming freshman student who is not a resident of Utah. Applicant is automatically considered with application for admission.

 

LGBTQ Scholarship

Applicant must be a current or future leader in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ), and straight ally community from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington pursuing a post secondary education. Letter of recommendation and copy of transcript required. Resume and portfolio are optional.

 

BLET Auxiliary Scholarships

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicants must be the children of both a BLET Auxiliary and BLET member (living or deceased) and enrolled or accepted by an accredited university, college or institute of higher learning. If the applicant is a graduate student or returning to school as a sophomore, junior or senior, he or she must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Selection is based on academic record, leadership, character and personal achievement.

 

Montana Higher Education Grant

Applicants must be Montana residents who have exceptional financial need. Grants are awarded through individual colleges and universities. Selection is based on financial need.

 

Montana Tuition Assistance Program/Baker Grant

Applicants must be residents of Montana. They must have earnings greater than 500 times the federal minimum wage and have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) that is less than the maximum federal Pell Grant plus $2,500. Selection is based on financial need.

 

Governor's "Best and Brightest" Scholarship Program: High School Merit Scholarships

Award: -, Deadline: March 15

Students must be residents of Montana who have been accepted to an eligible institution of higher learning in the state. Students must also have a minimum GPA of 3.0, SAT score of 20 or higher or SAT score of 1440 and be enrolled in a certificate, associate or bachelor's degree program.

 

Montana University System Honor Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: March 15

Applicants must have a 3.4 or higher GPA, meet specific college preparatory requirements and have been enrolled in an accredited Montana high school for at least three years prior to graduation, including their senior year. Applicants must also be accepted to and attend a Montana public university or community college.

 

Governor's "Best and Brightest" Scholarship Program: Merit-At-Large Scholarships

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicants must be residents of Montana who are entering college as freshmen and seeking their first certificate or undergraduate degree. Students must be accepted by an eligible Montana campus and must take the ACT/SAT by December 31st of the student?s senior year of high school. Applicants must obtain a cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.0 or score at least 20 on the ACT or 1440 on the SAT.

 

William and Sara Jenne' Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: June 1

Students must have completed one year of college or technical school with at least 30 semester hours, and they must have at least a 2.0 GPA. Applicants must show financial need and good character.

 

Montana Cattlewomen Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 15

Applicants must be from Montana and currently enrolled as a sophomore or higher in an accredited university or college in Montana. Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.7 or more and demonstrate a need for financial assistance. Selection is based on demonstrated need and student's potential to benefit the livestock industry. Preference is given to students from an agriculture background and/or members or children of members of Montana CattleWomen.

 

Lee Magnon Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: January 1

Applicants must be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate at an accredited two- or four-year college or university. Applicants must be studying engineering and/or science at their chosen school. Applicants must have permanent residence in the NACE Central Area which includes the following states: Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

 

Dennis Schoepp Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be a student of funeral service from Montana and be enrolled full- or part-time in an American Board of Funeral Service Education accredited program. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

BNSF Railway Company FFA Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicants must be current FFA members and high school seniors or college students planning to enroll or currently enrolled full-time. Students must be pursuing a four-year degree in one of the following agricultural fields: business management, economics, sales and marketing or finance. They must be residents of California, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota or Texas. Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Students only need to complete the online application one time to be considered for all FFA-administered scholarships. The application requires information about the student's activities and a 1,000-word essay. Awards may be used for books, supplies, tuition, fees and room and board.

 

MetLife Foundation FFA Scholarship

Applicants must be working toward four-year degrees in specific areas of agriculture including public service and administration, agribusiness management, range/soil science, public communications, plant or animal breeding and genetics, education, plant pathology, journalism, technology, extension, mechanization, public relations, finance, economics, sales, marketing or engineering. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and have a minimum GPA of 2.5. Students must hold a significant campus leadership position and demonstrate significant leadership skills and abilities. Applicants must be residents of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington and be high school seniors or college or graduate students (community college, four-year public or private college or university, certificate program, vocational/technical/trade programs, law school, medical/dental/veterinary school or graduate education). Students must be members of the LGBTQ and allied community and display leadership either within the LGBTQ community or within their field of study and demonstrate financial need. Students with additional barriers to education as well as those who are economically, racially, socially, geographically or politically disenfranchised will be given consideration as well. Scholarship is for students studying choral conducting or music with preference given to those committed to creating social change through music.

 

Political Leadership Scholarship

Applicants must be residents of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington and be high school seniors or college or graduate students (community college, four-year public or private college or university, certificate program, vocational/technical/trade programs, law school, medical/dental/veterinary school or graduate education). Students must be members of the LGBTQ and allied community and display leadership either within the LGBTQ community or within their field of study and demonstrate financial need. Students with additional barriers to education as well as those who are economically, racially, socially, geographically or politically disenfranchised will be given consideration as well. Students should be studying law, political science, public policy, or public administration with the goal of improving rights for LGBTQ people. Preference will be given to LGBTQ students of color and low-income or first-generation college students.

 

Associates in Behavioral Health Scholarship

Applicants must be residents of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington. Students must be members of the LGBTQ and allied community and display leadership either within the LGBTQ community or within their field of study and demonstrate financial need. Students with additional barriers to education as well as those who are economically, racially, socially, geographically or politically disenfranchised will be given consideration as well. Applicants must be LGBTQ students pursuing graduate education in psychology, psychiatry, social work, or psychiatric nursing. Preference given to students who display financial need.

Students must be members of the LGBTQ and allied community and display leadership either within the LGBTQ community or within their field of study and demonstrate financial need. Students with additional barriers to education as well as those who are economically, racially, socially, geographically or politically disenfranchised will be given consideration as well. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM).

 

Emmerson-Hoopes Scholarship

Applicants must be residents of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington and be high school seniors or college or graduate students (community college, four-year public or private college or university, certificate program, vocational/technical/trade programs, law school, medical/dental/veterinary school or graduate education). Students must be members of the LGBTQ and allied community and display leadership either within the LGBTQ community or within their field of study and demonstrate financial need. Students with additional barriers to education as well as those who are economically, racially, socially, geographically or politically disenfranchised will be given consideration as well. Applicants must be pursuing an accredited social work degree (BSW or MSW) from the University of Washington or Seattle University.

 

Social Work Scholarship

Applicants must be residents of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington and be high school seniors or college or graduate students (community college, four-year public or private college or university, certificate program, vocational/technical/trade programs, law school, medical/dental/veterinary school or graduate education). Students must be members of the LGBTQ and allied community and display leadership either within the LGBTQ community or within their field of study and demonstrate financial need. Students with additional barriers to education as well as those who are economically, racially, socially, geographically or politically disenfranchised will be given consideration as well. Applicants must be LGBTQ students enrolled or admitted to a Council on Social Work Education baccalaureate, master?s or doctoral program in social work. Preference given to students of color.

 

Donald O. Coffman Scholarship

Asian and Pacific Islander Queer Sisters (APIQS) Scholarship
