Applicant must be a graduating senior from Colonel Richardson or North Caroline High School who will pursue post-secondary education full-time.

Applicant must be a graduate of a Wicomico County, MD high school who has completed at least one year of undergraduate study in a healthcare field.

 

Wade and Helen Sue Ward Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Crisfield, Holly Grove Christian or Washington High School.

 

Virginia Springer Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduate from Laurel Highlands High School who is majoring in a healthcare-related field. Minimum 3.5 GPA required.

 

Ethel Peak Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Rising Sun High School who will pursue post-secondary education in a healthcare field. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Julie and David Mennes Healthcare Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Wayne County high school who will attend an accredited post-secondary institution majoring in a health or medical profession full-time.

 

Centerpoint Medical Center Medical Staff Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be an employee or the dependent of an employee of Centerpoint Medical Center who will major in a health-related field.

 

Iber Health Education Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a resident of Portage County who is current enrolled in a graduate level, health-related studies program at an accredited school. Undergraduate seniors accepted to an accredited graduate school for health-related studies may also apply.

 

Altru Health Systems Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: February 1 (admitted deadline); February 15 (scholarship application deadline)

Applicant must be a current student who is majoring in a health related field. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Dr. Frank Veden Endowed Scholarship

Award: $1,200, Deadline: February 1 (admitted deadline); February 15 (scholarship application deadline)

Applicant must be a student who is pursuing a career in the health care industry with a desire to live and utilize their training in a rural setting. Minimum 2.0 GPA.

Applicant must be a legal resident of the U.S. who is currently enrolled in a U.S. accredited college or university. Essay describing the applicant's vision of the advancements that could be made over the next 10 years to combat childhood obesity is required.

 

Honey Lake Hospice Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must have successfully completed their first semester of college with a minimum 2.5 GPA and will be continuing their education in the field of nursing, medicine, or related health care field at an accredited two- or four-year college or university. The applicant should have an interest in gerontology, oncology and/or hospice and palliative care and be able to express that interest in an essay.

 

Litchman Family Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 3

Applicant must be a full-time sophomore, junior, or senior at Evergreen State College majoring in a healthcare-related field who meets one of the following criteria: first generation student, Native American, Hispanic/Latino, African American, a parent, age 24-26, high level of student loan indebtedness. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

The Diane Kenneally Memorial Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: April 1 (College Applicants); May 1 (High School Seniors)

Applicant must be a current or past resident of Carlisle, MA or Concord, MA pursuing undergraduate studies.

 

Fran Gay Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Palm Beach or Martin County, FL high school who will major in a healthcare field. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

George and Helen Stowell Scholarship (Medical)

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 3

Applicant must be a graduating senior of a Henderson County public high school who is a native of Henderson County. Applicant must be planning to pursue a career in a health related field (other than physician). Selection based on merit (minimum 3.0 GPA and minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1000). Extracurricular involvement and financial need are required.

 

Novus Biologicals Scholarship Program

Award: $1,500, Deadline: July 15

Applicant must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment with a declared major in a science-related field. Applicant must make a top 10 list of reasons why they think science is awesome and write a personal statement on how they plan to use their degree to further advance science in their field of interest.

 

Sharps Compliance Scholarship Essay Contest

Award: $1,500, Deadline: July 18

Applicant must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen accepted or currently enrolled at an accredited university pursuing a degree in healthcare. Essay between 1,250 and 1,500 words required on this topic: "The Importance of Proper Waste Segregation in Healthcare".

Applicant must be a student currently enrolled in one of the following healthcare programs: cardiac ultrasound, health information management, medical technology, nursing, pharmacy, or rehabilitation services. Minimum 3.0 GPA and 500 word essay required on this topic: "Why did you choose your career path, what have you done to support it, and how would it benefit FHN's service area?" Finalists are required to participate in an interview.

 

Volunteer Resources Scholarship

Applicant must be a high school senior or undergraduate student who is an active member of the FHN Volunteer Program and is pursuing a degree in a healthcare field. Minimum 3.0 GPA, minimum 40 volunteer hours in the FHN program, and one-page essay required on this topic: "How has your volunteer experience at FHN contributed to your personal career goals?" Finalists required to participate in interview.

 

Medical School Scholarship

Applicant must be entering or currently enrolled in medical school. Transcript, proof of enrollment, and essay required. Resume is optional.

 

Hispanocare Student Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen of latino descent who resides in Illinois and is pursuing a degree in the healthcare field.
